Sophie's Birthday- Elmo Style

Sophie's Brithday is coming up and had to get the invitations ready. She loves Elmo- uh-huh!- we figure she must have learned about him at daycare. We don't mind as long as she doesn't want any singing, giggling, talking Elmos then it is all good. We go to the store to play with those! So we decided to give her what she likes and have an Elmo themed party. This is perfect because the Children's Museum is having a Sesame Street Exhibit and that is where we are going. She is going to love it.

Here are the invites I made, excuse the slight blurriness/brightness in the bubble.

Most of the supplies are from the LCS (Local Scrapbooking Store) including Elmo. The backdrop papers are SU!- Pumpkin Pie, Ballet Blue, Green Galore.
Thanks for Stopping by.

Easy Christmas Gifts & A Card

OK, let me start off by saying that I so rarely think of something outside the box that when I do I get overly excited, even if my project is horrible. Yep, tooting my own horn here...toot-toot...but I think this project actually turned out. Now that we have all that ego inflating talk out of the way, check out my easy Christmas gift ideas.

#1 (this is my toot-toot idea) - Reindeer Treat Bag.

This was so freakin' easy to make it kills me. I used the Top Note die for my Big Shot in Chocolate Chip for the reindeer head, the antlers are made from Swirls Scribbles die in Soft Suede (check out the die image below), the eyes and nose are made from 1/2" punch in Basic Black and 3/4" punch in Real Red with a little white highlight from the Uniball Signo gel pen. Next time I might even add a little glitter to his nose.

#2- Christmas Candles-

We made this one at the holiday gift class last weekend. We made some earings, nugget tins and ornaments as well. If I can get a good picture of those, I'll share.

#3- Grateful card

This is for a co-worker of mine who is moving on to different things. She will be missed.

OK, thanks for stopping by and enduring my horn tooting today!

Sneak Peak

Here is the sneak peak of the My Digital Studio project I am working on that I promised. I am betting you can guess what it is, but I can't say for sure. :) I hope you like it. I enjoy it very much, mostly because I think my daughter is adorable- but there are some other things I like too.
This page was really pretty easy to make. It took me a bit to find all the elements and things available to me, but once I did, easy. OK, thanks for stopping by and have a great day!

Checking In

Hi There. I know it has been a while since I have posted anything of substance hasn't it. I have been extremely busy and sick- the cold that won't go away. I have been creating, but I have been doing something on SU!'s My Digital Studio (MDS). I has taken me a while to get the hang of MDS but now I am crusing. I can't tell you what I have been making since it will be a Christmas gift for several family members...they likely won't read this (some of them don't have a computer or internet!!!) but I don't want to chance it. All I can say is that it is amazing to do so much in so little time. I will post a sneak peak on anther day, so be sure to check back.

Since I have been MIA for so long I wanted to give you something to look at. I gathered some of my favorite swaps from the a swap I did in September to show you. I also have a one thing I made- whoa miracle right!- that you might like.

These next four cards are from a swap I did in September featuring Holiday Mini stamp sets.

Card #1- Cindy Starns- I like you berry much!
I love the layout here and the great watercoloring job Cindy did. This card is just so cute and fun. A wonderful card for a child or a sweetheart!

Card #2- Carol Pinkey- Merry Christmas
Carol has used my favorite embossing folder here, Petals a Plenty. This card is very elegant and crisp. Beautiful Carol!

Card #3- Denise Schwarzkoff- Be Merry
I love this little Santa Stamp, you've seen me use it. Even more though, I love all the different elements Denise used here, bits of small paper embelishments and the ribbon and the glitter on the gift in Santa's bag. I also like that she put it on the Soft Suede paper- looks great! Check her out here.

Card #4- Stacey Schafer- Thinking of you
I LOVE this card. I like this color combo, the Autumn Meadows Paper and the Autumn Splendor stamp set. What really gets me though is the way Stacey embossed the leaf with multiple colors, some gold and black, you may not see how it shimmers on the computer screan, but it is so striking! Check out her blog here.

Card #5- Cindy Starns- Trick or Treat
This one is another from Cindy, I received this from her at a recent Seattle Based Stampers Fall Fun Event. I just think those little knot bats are adorable. I never would've thunk it!

Card #6- Me!
This last one is one that I made at our Fall Fun Event. It was a make n' take so I didn't design it, but I sure had fun making it. I love the flocked paper punched into an ornament and the red polka dot ribbon is one of my faves.
OK, thanks for stopping by. Glad to finally have something to share with you!
