Happy Birthday Kimberly!

Today is a special day!  It is Ms. Kimberly Wiener's Birthday!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY KIMBERLY!!!!

Kimberly is such a generous soul and so sweet, I love her bunches and bunches!

By now you know the drill, out little group does a birthday hop for the girl of the day.  So, that is what we are doing for Ms. K.  I hope that you'll stop along the way and then MOST IMPORTANTLY, wish her a happy day!

Here is my card for the hop:

I know Kimberly loves SugarPea Designs and coloring, so I thought this would be a fun card for her.  The sentiment is perfect.  I had so much fun paper piecing the Lawn Fawn Perfectly Plaid (purchased from Ms. Tonya at the Heart Desire's Shop) and putting it on this big burly guy.  It kinds gives it a fun and feminine twist. I used the SugarCuts dies too.  The final touch are the wood chip stars from Freckled Fawn.

OK, now head on out and check out the hop!

Kimberly, the birthday girl!

Again, happy birthday to my dear friend and thank you for stopping to show her the love!

Fusion- Orange Blossoms

OK, you are in for a treat today!  Our Fusion Coordinator Kimberly Wiener put together an AHMAZING photo and sketch for you this week.  Check it out:

I might be a little bit partial because I LOOOOOOOOVE hummingbirds!  They are so striking and have so much grace, how could you not!  So... Here is my take on the challenge!

Pretty much straight up from the photo.  I used a Tim Holtz die to create my blooms and used Hero Arts Electric Orange applied with a sponge.  I needed a little depth so added some sequins to the blooms (these were compliments of Annette Allen over at My Clever Creations).  Just love that neon look.  I used my Designs by Ryn hummingbird stamp and colored this one in with various greens, aqua and grey.  Lastly, I added a sentiment from Technique Tuesday, stapled it on and distressed the edges.

Some amazing takes on this over at the Fusion blog.  Please go see!

TPD Wednesday- Mums!

Hi there!  Happy Wednesday!

Today I have a fun card t share with you!  I made it for the March TPD Challenge (but was too slow to link up- doh!).  So I'll still share since it is so bright and cheery!

I used Seed Packet Flowers for this card.  I was looking at these flowers and thy look just like Mum's to me (see below), so that is what I modeled them after.  I used my SU! markers to color direct to the stamp and then stamp the image.  Then I cut them out with my Lawn Fawn Circle die.  I used the SU! Circle Card Thinlits Die set to cut my cardstock and the DP is Lawn Fawn Designer Papers- LOVING LF Perfectly Plaid!  The sentiment is a pre-printed tag that I just slapped on the front. The brightness makes me happy.

I hope you enjoyed this card today and thank you so much for stopping!  Please head on over to Two Paper Divas to check out all the fun over there.

Sunday Stamps- 125

I am not gonna lie, it was a rough week.  So I am sooooo glad the weekend is here and will be using this Sunday for R&R.  BUT, before I do, I have a nice uplifting card to share with you for this week's Sunday Stamps Challenge #125.

Here is the image we are working with:

Here is my take:

I thought it would be fun to see what happens when I added distress inks to glossy paper.  This is the result.  It clearly didn't blend as well, but still looks like a stormy sky to me.  I used a cloud template to add some layers.  The challenge is to pick a minimum of 3 colors and a neutral.  Admittedly, I got my peach color wrong, not sure what I was thinking.  In addition to that I used a couple of blues- all TIm Holtz products.  Then I stamped my sentiment from MFT.  I went back and added embossing tat looked like raindrops with and SU! folder.  Lastly, I cut this windmill die out from Top Dog Dies (sad when they closed the doors).

I had a lot of fun making this.

Now head on over to Sunday Stamps to see all the other inspiration.

Happy Birthday Laura!

Today is a good day because is is Laura's Birthday and we are having Birthday Buddies Blog Hop!

Laura is such a sweet gal, I love it when I get to spend time with her.  Here is the card I made for her to wish her a Happy Birthday!

Love this cute little monkey and pineapple from Waffle Flower.  EEK!  Cuteness!  I colored this sweet image in with my Copics and added on the cute little bow.  It was perfectly paired with this paper from We are Memory Keepers called It Factor.  I recently picked it up at a big cafty garage sale- yeah!  I am not really big on the pineapple trend right now, but this combo was too perfect to resist.  :)  I stamped the sentiment from Impress and used a Lawn Fawn speech bubble.  It is all mounted on this SU! Saffron Cardstock.

Here is the hop list:

Happiest of you sweet Laura! I hope you have the best day possible!

TPD Wednesdays

Happy Wednesday Two Paper Divas fans!  Glad you could come for a visit today.  I am sharing another card featuring April's TPD release.

This is about as CAS as this girl can get with any card.  It isn't usually my strength but something about this Hello Spring set made it seem easy.  I stamped it straight on kraft cardstock and used my Prismacolor pencils to add color to them and it really pops of the page.  I paired it with one of the sentiments from the Feel Better set hoping to give someone a little pick me up!  I finished with some hemp twine.

Hoping you'll stop by the Two Paper Divas blog to see what else the DT has cooked up!

TPD Wednesday- Get Well

Welcome to this week's edition of Two Paper Divas Wednesday.  I have a fun card to share with you today featuring one of their newly released set called Feel Better.  This set is so fun and versatile.  Case in point-

Those bandaids are just the sweetest little things.  What could be more perfect than adding an enamel heart onto it.  Paired with this fun BasicGrey paper, SU! Cardstock, flowers and ribbon it is bound to perk anyone up.  Who could resist those colors?!  No one!

This card is making me feel better as we speak as I was home sick yesterday.  I am not feeling 100% but the healing vibes sure are making me feel better.

I hope you will head on over to TPD blog to check out DT Wednesday!

Sunday Stamps- 124

Hello Friends and Happy Sunday!  Sunday Stamps is here with a fun sketch.

Here is my take on this week's sketch.

I had tons of fun making this.  I love the hamster and wheel in this Lawn Fawn Set.  I used the corresponding dies and the Lawn Fawn circle dies. The SU! cardstock is one of my fave colors, Costal Cabana.  I used my Copics to add color.  Here is a close up of the hamster, she has a little flower tucked behind her ear.

That's all today.  Please head on over to Sunday Stamps to see what the DT has come up with.

Thanks for stopping!

TPD Wednesay

Howdy friends!  Happy Wednesday to you!

Have you seen the new April release for Two Paper Divas?  Well you should, because it is fun!  I have a card to share with you today featuring two of those new sets.

The Balloons are from the new Dream Big set and the balloons are from the Feel Better set.  I stamped the sentiment on a die cut from SU!  I stamped the balloons and colored them with my Copics.  They pair perfectly with DP from Doodlebug Designs.  So bright and festive for a birthday right?

Thanks for stopping by today!

Neon Nicknacks

Saw the new challenge over at the Curtain Call the other day and had to create something to join the fun!  This is just so playful!

Here is my take on the challenge.

I used my Impress heart and sentiment.  I colored each facet of this heart gem a different neon color and love the outcome.  I stamped the sentiment in white on black to make it pop!  The most fun, is the re-purposed Easter grass i used behind the heart, it was just the right shade of pink.  Darn that stuff has so much static tho! I am sure it will be on my carpet, socks, coat, anything it can stick to for days... LOL!  I added the bright green Doodlebug enamel dots for a final touch of flair.

I hope you like and thanks for stopping today!

TPD Saturday

Happy Saturday to all of you.  I hope you have a wonderful weekend!  I think this card will help inspire you to do so....

Love this sentiment from Two Paper Divas Life's Little Sayings set.  It reads, "Life doesn't have to be perfect to be wonderful."  This card is an attempt at mixed media.  I used some dies from Memory Box and SU!, stencils from TCP and Tim Holtz along with Gelotas to make up this card.  The final touch is some of those bling that look like water drops.

Thanks for stopping today and be sure to head on over to Two Paper Divas to check out this set and other great sets!
