Pumpkin Spice

Back with another card for the Coffee Lover's Blog Hop!  This one is featuring one of the Stamptember sets from Simon Says Stamps and Neat & Tangled. This little cutie pie squirrel is simply a darling!  I especially love the sentiment. :)

Plan to send this to a friend of mine who is a freak about Pumpkin Spice Lattes.

Thanks for visiting!

Happy Birthday Tonya

It is time again for another Birthday Buddies Blog Hop!  This time our PNW group is celebrating Tonya's Birthday.  Ms. Tonya is sweet and super funny.  Also, she is the wonderful owner behind The Heart Desires store.  If you haven't been there yet, go now and shop and then come back and hop...or vice versa! :)

OK, let's get to it!  Here is the card I made for Miss Tonya.  It is perfect to represent Tonya's fun spirit.

I made this card using Stampin' Up! paper (oh yeah, Tonya is my SU! demo too- lol) and MFT stamps.  I really enjoyed coloring this sweet dragon and I added some pearl shimmer over the top.  The die cut behind is from Casual Fridays and I used this embossing folder to make it look just like dragon scales.  I love that look!  The final touch for Tonya were these fun stars from Studio Calico, they are my way of saying I hope all her wishes come true.

So.... HAPPY BIRTHDAY TONYA!

Be sure to hit all the stops on the hop and then visit our sweet friend and wish her a happy day!

THD & the Coffee Lovers Blog Hop

Guess What?  I am over at the THD blog today sharing a fun card for the Fall Coffee Lovers Blog Hop!

Instead of giving you a sneak peak, I decided to share my full card.  BUT, I encourage you o head over to the THD blog because not only are they a sponsor, but my DT buddies have some other amazing creations there too.

Now, here is what I've created-

I made this card using the Neat and Tangled Big Bold Brew set and dies.  So cute!  My only regret is not getting the accompanying N&T Say Yes to Donuts set.  They are the perfect match. (time to go shopping- lol).  It was my brilliant husbands idea to give this cutie red hair.  I loved that idea so much that I gave him the card in his lunch pail today.  Awww.... In addition I used Ranger Citron Twist Distress Ink with this TCP stencil and the fun green washi.  The cork XOXO from Freckled fawn was something I was saving especially for my hubby, was so happy use it!

OK, enjoy the Coffee Hop and be sure to head over to the THD blog  to see more inspiration.

Enjoy your Friday!

THD Challenge #4

Wow, it feels like it has been a long time since I have blogged. I suppose it has only been a week, but it feels like forever.

Back today with a card for The Hearts Desire Challenge #4.  Check out the inspiration:

Perfect for back to school colors, no?!  I can hear the ideas percolating in your head.... :)

I was tempted to go back to school themed but I decided not. Though I went with most of the colors, I skipped the red.  I focused in on the sunflowers and the black and white patterns.  For this project I used a fun combination of supplies.  First, notice the fabulous Bloom DP from American Crafts.  Next I used the Hoop Die from Neat and Tangled.  It was fun to use a wood-grain paper and gold for the facet to make it look realistic.  The sunflower, from Lawn Fawn, is fun with the DP that says hello behind.  The washi and the  sentiment were the final step to make this fun thank you card.

Now, I highly encourage you to do two things:

1. Head on over to the THD blog and check out the SUPER FABULOUS (no joke) inspiration by the DT.

2. Join us for this fun challenge.

Thanks for visiting and can't wait to see what you create!
