Boo...where you are planted

1Happy Tuesday  I am stretching my stamps a little today, using an everyday stamp to make a Halloween card.  Here goes...

What do you think?!  I used the Let Love Grow set.  Instead of Bloom where you are planted, Boo was my alternative.

I used watercolor paper for the circle and used distress inks and splattered some sparkle pens.  Once that dried I stamped the sentiment, masking letters to make the boo.  I stamped and die cut the succulents and crystals and colored using Halloween colors. I wanted to bring out more of the green and orange, so I used this bright green paper in the backdrop with this white die cut paper.    I sprinkled these bright orange dots about.

Here is another view.

Well I hope you enjoy this atypical Halloween card.   I am entering it into Simon Says Stamp Wednesday.

Trinity Stamps has a new release 11/2.  They will be sharing sneak peaks all week, be sure to check it out!

Be Afraid

I hope you have prepared yourself for this SCARRRY card!

Oh shoot, I must have put the wrong card in this post because it isn't scary at all!  Oh well.  Wink!

I love this sweet Hello Bluebird stamp set.  The bear is a cutie and I colored him with my Copics.  I added some glossy accents.  The best part is the sentiment along side the cute bear.  Giggle.  The background has orange paper and then the glittery black paper from Crafter's Companion over the top.  I die cut the black using a Your Next Stamp cover plate.

Have a Wanderful Day!

I have some exciting news!  Trinity Stamps has a new release coming in the next week!  But we don't want you to have to wait to see some of these fun goodies, so the team is sharing sneak peeks!

So let's get this going shall we?!

Check out my Wizarding Friend!  This famous wizard might be one you are familiar with.  He is such a cool and calm guy holding his Elder Wand.  It was so much fun to make this card featuring him.

I made this card by stamping and die cutting Dumbledore.  I then stamped him again and colored his face and beard.  Next I stamped him too more times on some Authentique DP.  I cut out the robes and the had and glued the paper peices on the base along with the colored head.  Once adhered, I came back in and used my white gel pen on the edges of the robe.  I stamped, died cut and added his wand.  I placed him on this tag from the same paper pack, it reminded me of the newspapers in HP and so I thought it was a good fit.  I decided he needed a friend, so I added this Hermione's cat. I set that aside and cut my card based and brushed brown ink around the edges.  I added this nice soft blue next, stamping the sentiments and distressing the edges.  Here is a close up view.

I really, really love these characters and sentiments.  I can't wait for you to see the whole release and all THREE of these stamp sets that work so well together.  That's right, I said 3.  I hope you feel as excited as I do!  Stay tuned for more and thanks for visiting!

On the Rooftop.. Plus Trinity Winner

Oh goodness, I made this card for the YNS challenge but have yet to post it.  And...it is their 100th challenge so I can't not post!!!  I'll keep it brief...

This card features the YNS Merry Mouse Eve set.  I had fun coloring this with copics.  I added some distress ink around the edges for that winter sky glow with the highlight on the scene.  After all was colored I came back in with my white gel pen to create the mirror between the bricks.  The scene is set on a Lawn Fawn DP backdrop with Pebbles ephemeria providing the sentiment.

Here is another view of that sweet mouse.

It makes me think of Twas the Night Before Christmas, but on this case, the mouse is stirring!

NOTE: The winner of the Trinity Coffee with Character Stamp set from the National Coffee Day Hop was announced on the Coffee Loving Cardmaker's Blog.

Graveyard Magic

I don't know how time seems to go by so quickly some days and slowly others.  But here we are and Halloween is only a week away.  So I have got to get my spooky cards up and out before that happens.  So here is today's card:

This card was just delightful to make.  Coloring the Hello Bluebird images was right up my alley.  Although I have a Scan n' Cut, I fussy cut these out.  Maybe it was nostalgia, lol.  One thing I could cut were the tiny bubbles that come from the witches potion, so I just used little purple gems instead.  The backdrop is a Your Next Stamp background die that i love.  I cut the black sparkly paper from Crafter's Companion and used that as the structure and then cut it again in this Doodlebug Designs paper.  I alternated them and used this bright purple as the backdrop.  Once I had all that ready I placed my little cute critters through out the scene.

Here are some close ups of my critters

Well I hope you enjoyed this post as much as I enjoyed creating the card.   I am entering this into:

Trick or Treat?

Happy Friday!  Best day of the week... minus Saturday! Wink.

I have a bright and bold Halloween card today.

There are soooo many cute components in this card!   Doodlebugs Designs, Hello Cynthia, SugarPea  Designs and Avery Elle.

To make this I started with the Hello Cynthia Stamps.  They are so cute and I enjoyed coloring them with my Copics.  I stamped and added a Lawn Fawn pumpkin bucket with treats, because we all need our Halloween goodies!  Once they were done I added highlights and fussy cut them out and set them aside. Next, I knew I wand this Doodlebug Designs Paper as my base, so I die cut it with my Avery Elle Wonky Stitches.  I cut the SugarPea circle and put the girls on top of that with dimensionals and put the Doodlebug strip below as the sentiment.  I worked through my base colors and decided to go bright pink (to match the wings) and Sparkly Black from Crafter's Companion.  I am happy with the bright and cheerful result. Here is another view.

I love these girls, so cute!  Look at my darling Angel....

You should have arrived here from Kerry's blog!  If not head over to CAS-ual Friday's blog to start at the beginning.

You'll notice from the Graphic that there are some prizes to be won!  Simply leave comments along the way to be eligible.

So let's start showing off some cards shall we?!

This first card cracks me up, I really love this sentiment form the Coffee Talk stamp set.  It really is so funny and perfect for my little fox friend.  Give him coffee or he might bite you!  And his cup matches perfectly in this turquoise blue, it is die cut form the Coffee Cup Fri Dies along with the large coffee word.  You'll notice that I gave the word a shadow with the white second die cut work behind it to make it pop.  I really appreciate the fall colors in this card that go perfect with this guy and his coffee.  Here is another angle...

My next card also features the same stamps and dies.

In this card the large cup die from the Coffee Cup Fri Dies is front and center.  This cup is wonderful to die cut with various patterned papers and I used this Jen Hadfield paper with the lovely colors and florals. I added my own steam.  The backdrop die and wood-patterned paper bag is a fun way to add to the fall feel and house a coffee gift card!  I love that the sentiment from Coffee Talk  is happy and uplifting.  And of course I had to include some blue cause that is my color, hence the enamel dots.
Again, here is a close up shot.

I do hope you are enjoying these cards and this hop!  Next up head over to Robyn's blog for more fun!  Thanks for the visit.

In the patch

We get a lot of rain here in the PNW Fall through Spring.  But the last several days have been beautiful fall days.  Not ho, but warm and golden in the afternoons.  This is always the weather you hope for when heading to one of the u-pick pumpkin patches.  That thought is what inspired this scene.

The main in piece in this card was the SugarPea Designs FarmScape die.  It was fun to cut the layers with different colors of paper and put them together over this sunny sky backdrop. I stamped and colored these pumpkins from Pretty Pink Posh and added them to the front of the field.  I thought this little mouse from MFT's Farm Friends would be cute peaking out from behind a pumpkin.

I hope this inspires you to head outdoors to a pumpkin patch AND I hope the weather is nice when you do.

Thanks for visiting today.

Rain or Shine

Making a super quick post today.  I needed to share this cutie pie card using Hello Bluebird Stamps.  The images are just so cute!

Isn't it adorable?  I just love this set.  This sweet girl and her ducky friend.  My daughter loves it to, she came by and made a loud squeak when she looked at the duck.  Obviously the HB are the main images.  I stamped and colored them using my Copics and cut them with my Scan n' Cut. I used this light blue base and cut it using my Avery Elle Wonky Stitches die.  I stamped the raindrops and puddles directly on the blue.

Gratitude- Clean and Simple

It isn't often that I make a CAS card, but I did this weekend and thought I'd play in the CASology Challenge.  The current theme is Gratitude.   I am also playing along with the Poppy Stamps Challenge

Here is my card, which fits perfectly with the themes
.

This card was entirely inspired by this Poppy Stamps Die.  I cut it out in white and used distress inks to add color to it.  The colors included Mowed Lawn, Peeled Paint, Vintage Photo and Scattered Straw.  I simply used some post it notes to mask off the areas I didn't want to color.   I set that aside and whipped out this We R Memory Keepers 3D embossing folder embossed this white CS.  I pulled out a bit more White CS and stamped and embossed this sentiment from Pretty Pink Posh using Wow Embossing Powder.

Here is another view.

That is it for today.  I appreciate your visit and kind comments!

Layer Cake

Good morning!  I hope you are having a good weekend.

I have a bright and lovely card to share with you today.  One for a very special occasion.

Isn't it lovely?!  I would eat that cake for sure!  In fact, I think if I had it now, I would.

This card is made using Trinity Stamps Decorate-a-Cake set.  I started by creating the small square cake.  I masked each side and lined up the edges.  Once I had my small square, I masked the middle and stamped the big square cake around it.   I colored the cake with different pinks and then colored and added the roses and came back in with highlights.  I added these gold layers in between.

I set this aside and created my backdrop with this Memory Box die.  It is 5.25 X 4, I cut it down into a square.  I stamped and die cut the sentiment and added to the top.  I came back in  added these Trinity Sprinkles.

One more angle for you.

I hope you like this card.  Thank you for your visit!
