But I can tell you that communicating with her after school and spending time with her (asking her questions/etc.) will make her feel extra special! **I think Michelle said it perfectly!!! Jill C. just posted about her bean going to a big pre-school, and I commented about my bean going off to college!
Dropped her off a week ago. It is crazy. I just sent out a care package to her, the first of probably many. I tried to think about easy, fun things but that were useful.
Maybe you could get her some fancy pencils or a cool eraser or both. or a key chain on her backpack with a sweet photo of the two of you.
Cheers to New Adventures~ Tibhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12699715230827883850noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3898942152619715955.post-79786151332829717672013-08-27T20:41:18.591-07:002013-08-27T20:41:18.591-07:00This comment has been removed by a blog administrator.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3898942152619715955.post-91556697154142300092013-08-27T17:11:22.646-07:002013-08-27T17:11:22.646-07:00Your right. I do have some ideas for you that were shared with me when my little ones went off to school for the first time. (btw....my "baby" just graduated from college, so it's been awhile. But I still remember it as if it were yesterday. :)

On the first day of school, our "afterschool snack" was always something special. A "fancy Cake" was usually what we had. At our house, afterschool snacks were always healthy snacks EXCEPT for the first day. That day was special so we celebrated. My kids still remember that, which makes me very, very happy. Also, on the first day of school I always met with another Mom for lunch at a place with a play area. (One year we went to the park for a picnic) That way my younger children had a special day too and I had someone to talk to so I didn't go home and cry.
So my advice would be to celebrate. Celebrate, have a wonderful time, and make memories. :)Michelle https://www.blogger.com/profile/17624112751668997492noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3898942152619715955.post-41012199643926028612013-08-27T15:11:18.207-07:002013-08-27T15:11:18.207-07:00Awwww....such a cutie pie!
