Bright, Bold and Beautiful!

Happy Saturday!  Today is a lovely day and it feels like summer!  I am so thrilled to be able to enjoy the sun today and spend time with friends.  Also. one of my closest friend is coming to town today.  YAY!

OK, onto business, I wanted to share a lovely floral card with you today.  Check out this lovely:

This features mostly Crafter's Companion products and a few others.  One thing that I love here are the flowers that I cut with my Gemini machine, I was able to cut them and emboss at the same time, such an awesome benefit!  I love this sentiment from the Spectrum Aqua Bloom Stamp set, it is perfect for this pretty card.

If I wasn't a THD DT, I would totally enter this into the challenge!  Love the bright colors that perfectly match this card!

Thanks for the visit today!

Vacation Anyone?

Yes please!  I need one big time and I am hoping it will happen in the next two months.  I guess that means I have to get planning eh.....

Until I get that vacation, I guess I pull my energy into some other relaxing activities.... like stamping and coloring!

And even better, I can stamp and color a tropical scene and imagine myself there.  What do you think of this fun card I made for Crafter's Companion?  It features the Sheena Douglas A little Bit Sketchy Collection- Endless Summer.  I used my Spectrum Noir markers- EB2, TB7, DG3, BT4, CT1, OR1, BT5, IG1, IG4.  I used Kraft cardstock, Carta Bella Paper and a Hero Arts Sentiment.

Now, I am ready for some vacation suggestions!  I tend to like to combine relaxing and outdoor activities.  Not too hot but not cold.  Where was your favorite vacation and why?!

This features Avery Elle Stamps colored with Copics.  The DP is from American Crafts Bloom Pad.  Oh how I love this pad and it's sweet soft colors!  And I used the Dear Lizzy Serendipity Enamel Dots.

Red Winged Blackbird

Mother's day is almost here and I have some fun cards to share with you before it is.

First, I wanted to share this card featuring Birds of a Feather stamp set by Sheena Douglas for Crafter's Companion. My family is full of birders so when I first set eyes on this bird I knew I had to have it.  The complimenting stamps are also perfect.

My card is inspired by the Red or Yellow Winged Blackbird.  I often see these birds in Washington around Marsh areas or lakes, they seem to love the reeds and cattails that grow nearby.  I am always draw to them by the bright color around the wings.  Recently my Mother was in town and she and my daughter reported seeing one of these birds and I knew I had to make a card.

I stamped the images out on my Spectrum Aqua watercolor paper.  I used my zigs to add the colors I wanted.  Once it was dry I put the image through my scan and cut.  I used my Gina Marie leaf dies with two different colors of green to set a place for the bird to sit.  The sentiments are from Avery Elle.  All together I put it on my CC Kraft Paper and distressed the edges.  I am happy with the results and love the vivid colors with the black.

I hope you enjoyed this card and thank you for visiting!
