Fall/Winter Coffee Lover's Blog Hop

The day has arrived, it is time for the Fall/Winter Coffee Lover's Blog Hop!  Whoop Whoop!

Are you excited for some coffee, cards and prizes?!  I AM!  So let's kick it off!  Here is my first card for the hop.

Squee!  I love these little mice from Waffle Flower's Hello Pumpkin set!  I didn't use them pre-Thanksgiving, so now is the perfect time to use them.  I colored these cuties with my Copics. Here is are a couple of close up's of them:

They are not overly Christmasy and I really love that pop of pink on the first one.

The paper is from Pinkfresh Studio, it was a prize I received from Instagram. :D  The colors are subtle but fun.  The built in sentiment might be a bit disjointed with the die cuts but I like it that way.  and the built in sentiment is perfect.

The die cut stars are one of my favorite new purchases from Avery Elle, it creates such a fun design.  The CS behind is Bazzil and perfect accent color.

Well that is it for me for day 1 of the hop.  I have many more cards to come so stay tuned in the following days. Thanks for the visit!

A Cloche or two

Having just wrapped up Thanksgiving in the US, I am very grateful and very FULL.  Too much food.  But it is a problem that I am fortunate to have.   As I move on towards the Christmas Holiday, I hope to continue to remember my sense of gratitude and give to others.  💗

Here are a couple of holiday cards I have made to add to my collection of cards to give to my loved ones over the holiday season.  Both cards feature Trinity Stamps and have a cloche.

For this first card, I die cut my cloche from Flora and Fauna twice.  Once in white, the second time, I cut the base in wood-grain and the top in a snowfall acetate from Crafter's Companion.  On the white base, I stamped the images from the Trinity Season's Greetings Silhouette.  I had previously die cut an MFT oval foam tape shape and used it to cut out the cloche shape in the middle and used the base portion to pop out the wood-grain base of this cloche.  I put it together and set it aside.

Next, I pulled out this DP from American Crafts and die cut it with my Avery Elle Wonky Stitches die.  I liked this paper and how it had yellow in it, something a little different, but still a nice holiday feel.  With that in mind, I stamped the pine-cone, flower and twigs from my Trinity Winter Botanicals set and die cut them.  I added them to my Cloche for a little extra flair.  I decided to pull out a little more of the yellow by putting a base behind my DP in SU! So Saffron and then I cut a bit and stamped this sentiment form the Trinity Seasonal Sweetheart set.  Here is a close up view.

The second card was inspired by that leftover oval foam with the cloche cut out in the middle.  I decided to make another card but as a shaker.

In this card, I die cut another oval in paper form MFT and cut out the close to match the foam sheet.  I used the leftover cloche and stamped the images on the background.  In this one I added the snowflakes from the Season's Greetings Silhouette to the background.  Once I had that background, complete with the wood-grain base, ready, I prepped my shaker by putting the layers together.  The acetate is between the top level of white and the foam layer, with the background layer being the images in the cloche and wood-grain.  Before I sealed it all up, I added some of Trinity's Expecto Patronum Confetti mix. Again, I wanted to add a little something to the base so I used the Winter Botanicals to make the holly.  I added glossy accents to the berries to give them a little shine.
The DP behind the cloche shaker is from Authentique, the layer behind it is some glossy paper from Crafter's Companion.  Of course the Twine was the finishing touch.

BTW- Cloche is a weird word, maybe because it is French?  I wasn't sure if the plural would be cloche or cloches?  I imagine it is cloche....  lol.

Be sure to head to Trinity Stamps for the Exclusive Black Friday deals happening through the Weekend and today only there is a bonus for Small Business Saturday!

Giving Thanks

It is Thanksgiving here in the US and today I will be feasting with family and friends.  I am not always as grateful as I should be, so today is a good day to reflect on all the goodness in my life.

I don't typically send Thanksgiving/fall cards but this year I made several and mailed them.  It felt good.  Among them was this one:

This scene is so sweet, it makes me happy.  As you can see, I stamped this Pretty Pink Posh image on watercolor paper, I used my zigs to color it.  Once it dried, I cut it with an Avery Elle die.  The cardstock is SU! With some corrugated cardboard and the gold thread.

I love the watercolors on this, they add that feeling of autumn glow.  Beautiful and peaceful.

Thank you for your visit, I am grateful for your encouraging words. Also, a shout out to Lisa Elton  who is my most regular commentor, thank you for taking the time, it warms my heart.  I know I don't return the kindness in full, but I do try to comment when I can. Hugs!❤❤❤

On Black Friday and Small Business Saturday; you’ll receive a free stamp set with qualifying orders. There may also be a free embellishment pack included while supplies last. Have fun shopping!

Here is a sneak peek of some of a Trinity exclusive coming your way.

For this creation I cut my white and blue paper with a scalloped edge die to create this point and layered them together.  I put this base behind with the SU! cardstock and the Doodlebug Designs Inc. Snowflake DP.  I took this fun new stamp from Trinity and stamped and embossed half of the sentiment with this bright blue embossing power.  I then added some sequins and snowflakes from this exclusive confetti mix.  I put all my pieces together and added the twine, button and final snowflake.

Isn't this so beautiful!  I love the sentiment and the way the confetti catches the light. You can see how the different angles make them look different colors.

The full sentiment, "If kisses were snowflakes, I'd send you a blizzard.  The inside houses the part that says "I'd send you a Blizzard" embossed in the same turquoise.

Have fun shopping and Happy Thanksgiving!

Season's Greetings

I am hoping to get 65-80 holiday cards done before Mid November and I am making decent progress, I have about 35 done.  Here is one of the cards I just made:

For this card I started by stamping and coloring the image.  I love the old wood paneled wagon and the reason I bought this stamp.  Yep, that is a wood stamp, I still use those occasionally!  I knew this would look great against this Carta Bella DP so I cut that down to 4 X 5.25.  Once I knew those two layers were in play, I decided to cut this circle from SugarPea Designs to place between the image and the plaid paper.  Lastly, I figured black paper and a black sentiment would really make this pop, so I pulled out this SU! cardstock and created the base and cut the sentiment, which is a die from X-cuts.

I think this is a fun, old fashioned looking holiday card.  I created this to play along with the current challenge at The Card Concept, being inspired by the plaid and car with a tree pillows.

I'd say it is a mixture of clean and layered and shabby chic... but maybe I am wrong... lol, style do you think it is?

Black Eyed Susan

I have been busy making fall and winter cards, so today I am going to share a card that is a spring/summer card.

Isn't she sweet!  I love these Stamping Bella images and I got this one a while back but hadn't yet used it.  I stamped it and colored it with my Copics and cut it out with my Scan 'n Cut.  I wanted the flower to look like a Black Eyed Susan and colored the fairly to match.  After completing that, I set it aside and pulled out some blue SU! cardstock for my base.  I put this layer of We R Memory Keepers acetate over the top, I love these polka dots!  I affixed my image over the layers.  I stamped the sentiment from a Hero Arts set and tacked it on the edge with a staple.

Bird Day

My daughter had another birthday last week.  I have asked her to not grow up anymore but she simply won't listen, so despite her disobeying (WINK) I decided to make her this birthday card.

This card features one of the new stamp sets from Trinity Stamps, Rhino Bird Day.   It is such a sweet set.  I stamped the images individually with the exception of the birds that I stamped together.  Then I cut them out.  I pulled out this bright and fun paper from Doodlebug Designs Inc. and modeled the colors to fit the paper. I die cut this cover plate so the bright paper would show through and then I cut some layers of color behind the image.  I placed my images on the layout using dimensionals to layer them. I used a fine gold thread for the balloons.  I stamped and embossed the sentiment on black, so it would stand out.  Here is another angle.

My sweet girl liked it, it made her smile.  Here is a shot of her with her besties at the rollerskating rink.  She is the one in the middle.  💖💖💖💖

Thank for visiting today!

Mice Friends

Hello.  Another week almost finished and another week closer to Thanksgiving.  I have another fun fall card today using the sketch from Freshly made Sketches (sketch at the bottom).   Here is my card.

I made this card using Craftin' Desert Divas Harvest Wishes stamp set.  They are the sweetest little mice.  I colored them using my Copics and cut them out using my Scan n' Cut.  I added highlights using my white gel pens.  I then pulled out this Lawn Fawn DP and cut it with my Avery Elle Wonky Stitches Die.  I cut the middle out using my Lawn Fawn die and placed my sweet mouse inside.  I stamped the sentiment on the blue and and popped it up in front.  Here is a close up.

Here is the sketch I worked from.

That is all, thanks for your visit today!

Fall Breeze and Autumn Leaves

It has been so blustery here in the PNW the last few days.  Hard rain and leaves falling everywhere.  Time to sit inside, read a book and surf Pinterest.  The other day I was doing just that and I came across a quote about art and seasons that resonated with me.

Winter is an etching,
Spring a watercolor,
Summer an oil painting and
Autumn a mosaic of them all.
~Starley Horowitz

Beautiful isn't it?  It didn't inspire me to make this card, but it inspired me to share it with you today.

I made this card with this Lawn Fawn Jump for Joy set in mind.  This set is so cute and not inked up nearly enough by me.  I stamped and colored my images with my Copics.  Although I adore these critters, I think I adore the rake equally as much, lol, it is just cute!  Anyway, I cut them out and set them aside.  Next I worked up this background using my Ranger distress inks and an Echo Park leaf stencil.  I love the way it looks, the mosaic of all the seasons....  I came back in and stamped my tree branches and sentiment.  I had stamped some leaves on a separate sheet and used distress inks on those, then cut them out and popped them up on the page. Finally, I put my 4 X 5.25 inch later on top of my base.

Here is a close up of the cutie critters (and rake- wink):

Well I hoe you enjoyed this post, I truly enjoyed making it!

Trinity New Release blog hop!

Friends, Welcome to the  Trinity Winter Release Blog Hop!!!!

We have so much excitement in store for you today AND Monday.  Yep, that's right, a two day hop, awesome products, amazing DT work and coveted prizes!  So hang on for this fun ride and enjoy day one!

 Here goes!

This first card shares a magical wizard holiday celebration!  I imagine these friends exchanging gifts and enjoying one another's company with some butter beer.  So much fun!  I stamped and die cut these characters from the new Magical Wizards and Wizard Friends sets.  I stamped them, die cut them colored them with my Copics and set them in this snowy scene.  I used the tree from the Joyeux Noel to help set the scene along with this snowy DP.  Inside I used the Magical Sentiment stamp and die to say, "wishing you a magical Christmas."

My second card you may have seen on instagram, it is just a little 2.5 X 2.5 note-card, so cute!

This one was so simple to make, I simply stamped and cut this sweet wizard, her accent items and her little Pigmy Puff friend.  After coloring them all, I put this small bit of DP on the card base and placed my items.  I highlighted them with this Freckled Fawn Frame and added Trinity Sequins to give it a little extra pop.  Admittedly, the envelope is my favorite of the two, it is so simple, but so cute.  A tiny bit of color and glossy accents on the seal and done.  The back side of the envelope is fun too, lookie see...Muggle Mail- lol!

Next up is my card using the Winter Botanicals set:

My goal for this card was to make a wreath with the flowers.  I die cut this circle and used the shape to set my flowers.  I created masks using stamped images on post-it notes and proceeded to stamp what I needed. Once I had the shape I added in my extra leaf and berry accents.  I colored this image using my Prismacolor pencils, they are not perfect and even, but the color is soft and fun to blend.  I wanted a little more pop in my red so I came back in with my Zigs and didn't add water.  I stamped and embossed the sentiment and popped it up in the middle.  Then I pulled out paper for the base and distressed the edges with my fingernail.  I added the blue strip after using the poinsettia embossing folder, my thought was that the embossing would emphasize the wreath.  The last bit of excitement includes adding this gold thread, which you can see below.

OK, hopefully you have enjoyed these peaks.  If you want to snatch up these stamps right now, just head on over to the Trinity Stamps What's New page to snatch them up!

Meanwhile, here is the hop line up:
