Happy Halloween

Happy Halloween!  Hope you are having a spooktacular day!  I am getting ready to take the kiddo Trick or Treating tonight and looking forward to it.  Should be fun, especially assessing the "Candy Tax"- wink!

OK, I have a fun Halloween Themed card today using one of my new favorite Whimsy Stamps sets- Candy Corn Dress Up

Here is how I made it:
  • I started by stamping these cute Candy Corn kids.  I colored them with my Copics and used my Scan N Cut to cut them out.
  • Next I die cut some deckle edge squares from this Doodlebug Designs Paper and another on white.
  • I mounted the layers together.
  • Next, I stamped my sentiment on this strip of purple paper and adhered it to the base.
  • Lastly, I added my little characters using my foam tape.
Pretty easy card, besides the time it takes to color.

That's all I have today.  Hope you have a fantastic Halloween and enjoy lots of treats.

Paper Smooches and CLC

It's another Coffee Loving Cardmakers Collaboration hop and this time we are pairing up with the fabulous Super Sponsor Paper Smooches.  You are gonna love this, the DT has so many fun cards and these products literally made me go EEP!

So, let's get moving shall we?!  You should have arrived here from Erin Thiem's blog, her projects were so cute!  Here are the products we are featuring:

Now let me show you what I have to share with you today using the Caffeinated Stamp Set, Caffeinated Icon Die set and Caffeinated Two set:

This one is my masculine card, but still sweet with the rosy cheeks and pink hearts.  I made this one by stamping my image and coloring the lid with Copics.  I added a little gray shadows to the cup.  Next, I stamped it again on this heart paper, added the face and glasses and some pink cheeks.  I cut it all out with the coordinating die. You may not be able to tell, but I added some glossy accents to the glasses.  The hearts and shadow below the cup are from a retired PS set.  The hearts were stamped on the backdrop and in pink.  I stamped the sentiment on the DP (a scrap that I believe was echo park) that I cut using a double stitched polygon die.  I put all some other layers of paper behind it, some Navy and some old SU! paper.  I layered them all together and then added my blue and white twine.

That is absolutely the most handsome boy cup, I could ever imagine! LOL.

OK, next up is my holiday bubble tea card.... ERR MAH GERD!

The cuteness is killing me!  Seriously!  OK, here is how I made this one.  I started with some white paper and used my Candied Apple Distress Ink, along with a stencil to create the fading red rays.  I trimmed this to slightly smaller than my base and tacked it down.  Next, I stamped the sentiment on green and added a little striped green holiday paper behind it.  I glued these to the base. Next, I stamped my cup on Copic friendly paper and colored it.  I added the boba with black in and added white highlights, I fussy cut it out and mounted it using foam tape.  Then I came in and added the little dude from the set peaking out from behind.  He needed a santa hat, so I searched around my stash until I found one that fit him.  I colored and mounted it and added a white poof ball to the end.  Lastly, I die cut and added these holly leaves and berries from Impression Obsession to add a little extra holiday flair.

The cuteness here might be the death of me!  OK, maybe not, but LOVE these stamps and dies.  Absolutely darling!  Here is one last look with both cards:

Well I hope you have enjoyed these cards.  I truly enjoyed making them.
