I have lots of birthday's to celebrate in the summer time so I have been busy making Bday cards... such as this one.
To create this card, I started by stamping out he cake from Decorate-a-Cake and added the extra bits to create the frosting. The flowers are from the Hopeful Flowers stamps set, I thought they would be a nice addition to the cake. The blooms are intended to be on the cake, but I liked the idea of hanging them off this banner. All are colored using my Copics. The banner is a die cut from
Crafter's Companion. The DP is a scrap from my scrap pile, I believe it *might* have once been a sheet of Echo Park paper.
Here is another shot of the card.
This card is so fun, specifically because it is pretty gender neutral. The colors are a bit more masculine perhaps but the florals allow it to be feminine. Who would you give this to? A guy or a gal?
I am in love with this new company Trinity Stamps and encourage you to visit the shop!
Thanks for your visit!
This would make anyone's birthday a happy one, it's so festive and pretty!
ReplyDeleteNice card Katie! I really like that color combo. I have always really liked blue and orange together and the addition of yellow really makes it nice. I would lean towards sending it to a female because of the flowers but the color scheme would work for either. Thanks for joining us over at a2z Scrapbooking!
