The Rabbit Hole Designs- Hex Yeah

Hey there The Rabbit Hole Designs Fans!  Welcome back to  another month and another release! We are getting into to the fall/Halloween spirit this month.  So be prepared to sit back, relax and get spooky. 

Day 1 introduces the new set Hex Yeah.  And I have two fun cards using this set:

First up is resting witch face- bwahahahaha!  I LOVE this sentiment more than I can say.  I had a meeting at work the other day, someone told me, "your face says it all." Whoops, I didn't mean to share my resting witch face! LOL. 

To make this one, I started by stamping the image on watercolor paper with archival ink so it wouldn't bleed.  Then I used my zigs to color the image.  Once it was good and dry, I die cut the white using this rounded edge rectangle die (MFT).  I die cut some green DP from Doodlebugs using a larger size.  I mounted the image layer on top of that layer.  I cut black CS as the base and threw in some orange ribbon for fun, then the green on top of that.  Lastly, I stamped the sentiment on this orange polkadot paper and embossed it using silver embossing powder (WOW). 

For my second card, I wanted to show you the versatility of this set.  I used glossy paper and stamped and embossed the sentiment in black.  Then I stamped the bats and also embossed them in purple (both WOW).  Next, I added some Brushos and water to the paper, once I had the saturation level and colors I wanted, I used my heat gun to dry it.  I added this scrap of striped orange paper to the bottom and then cut a tiny bit of black cardstock to add to it and adhered them both down.  I put this on the black cardstock base. Next, I stamped the main image and colored the hat using my Copics, then I cut it off from the main image and put it in on the card as the perfect finishing touch.
