BFBP

This is my second post for today.  If you are looking for my Hambo Hoedown card please click here or scroll down.

BFBP.  You might say, "what is that?"  Bona F
ide Benefit Plan?  Bureau Forest Bridging Plan?  Nope, BFBP stands for Bigfoot Birthday Party!  So you've never heard of one?  That's OK, I haven't either but I think I'd like to throw one some day...or have someone throw one for me since I love Bigfoot!

This post is about the decor I was making for just such an occasion.  I was inspired by this weeks challenge over at The Alley Way Stamps.  I saw this picture and immediately thought of my TAWS set Deep in the Woods, and of course the set's star attraction is Bigfoot.  I decided to take that inspiration and couple it with the Moxie Fab World's Birthday Ensemble Challenge where you were to create 3 items for a birthday party ensemble.  So TAWS Challenge + Deep in the Woods + Birthday Ensemble = BFBP!

For my party ensemble I created a Bigfoot X-ing/Party sign, some cupcake toppers and some trail mix snack bags.  First, you have a Bigfoot Crossing sign.  Of course our furry friend is getting his party on by wearing a birthday party hat.  I mounted my 5X5 sign on a popsicle stick and used another thick layer of cardstock for the back to sandwich it in.  I LOVE the way the sign turned out, it just makes me smile.  Second, the cupcake toppers, on one side they have BF's footprint and on the other it says "Wild Thing!"  Last, you have the trail mix bags

(get it...trail mix!) that also have a foot print.  They all have coordinated papers from the Shine On pack from BasicGrey and coordinated ribbon from SU!   I don't have the room or set up for the large photo so it isn't great, but you get the jist.  So I hope you likey.
Since there are two posts today, maybe there should be a second Question of the Day!  You get to see my secret (well not so much any more) geek love for Bigfoot.  What is something geeky that you love that maybe not a lot of people know about you?

7/18/13- Updated to add- I am also including this in the Seize the Birthday Challenge. :)

  10. This ROCKS!!! A big foot crossing sign...genius! The trail mix is perfect for any self-respecting big foot wannabe. LOVE it!

I'm geeky about things like radio and tv volume settings. If it's not set to something with a '5' or '0', I change it till it is :S lol
