Cure for the Monday Blues

Hello!  I had a little time to make a few cards last night and it was so good for me and fun.  Normally I don't have a lot of creative juices in the evening after work, but I made myself sit down and craft and boy-o-boy am I happy I did!

ETA- this is currently out for publication in Scrap n/ Art Magazine for June/July 2014.

Here is what I made.  This card for Cure for the Monday Blues #11.  It is totally grungy and tweeny, which is not normally my style but I love it.  The paper that I recently I purchased is from Bo Bunny and meant to be baby paper, but I thought it was perfect for this project.  I added a crown (just like in the inspiration photo) and embossed it black so it would be glossy and really have a pop.  I added some woodchip hexagons colored blue and one that has washi tape on it to bring out the pink in the image.  I've got the major colors covered.  Thanks for putting another fun challenge out there Taheerah, it was fun to play!

I am also entering this into the Runway Inspired Challenge #57.  This is my very first time playing this challenge.  I know, I am behind the times.  I am not much of a fasionista...so I think it intimidates me or something like that. :)  I am also entering into STAMPlorations April Challenge- stamping and fave technique because I LOVE embossing.

BTW- Sunday night is the last chance to put your name in for this blog candy.  If you want to enter go to this post here.

Thank you for coming to visit!
