National Bubble Tea Day

Happy Friday and Happy National Bubble Tea Day!  Today, Trinity Stamps and Coffee Loving Cardmakers are coming together for this special day and have some amazing inspiration to share.

Keep reading for prize information, but first, I want to share my creations.

For my first creation I wanted to combine the bubble tea with Oracle Octopus set from Trinity, it just seemed very complimentary.  This one is a mini slimline.

I used the Winter Hues DP and cut it with the Clean and Simple Mini Slimline Panels. Next, I used the Summertime Sips die set and cut it with a opaque vellum.  I used my Blending Buddy with some Pink Ink to color it and cut my straw using basic cardstock.  Then I stamped and colored the Oracle Octopus.  I used the coordinating Oracle Octopus Die to cut it out and made the crystal ball shaker.  I put some boba looking embellishments in the middle and mounted that on top of my cup.  Next, I stamped the sentiment from the Hugs & Squishies Stamp Set and Coordinating Die Set.  I colored it and mounted on my card.

For my next creation, I wanted to mix it up a little bit. I thought it would be fun to stay with the squishies/octopus theme, but also make something different.  Wouldn't it be fun to have a bubble tea themed birthday party!  So I made a treat holder.

I made this one with a little container I had purchased for mini cupcakes.  It is slightly bigger than a mini coffee cup.  I started by cutting some slits in the lid to put a straw through, I had some plastic straws and cut them down to the right size.  Next, I used the Mini Coffee Cup Rainbow Hugs Add On Dies for the strips around the bottom and top (bottom from the rainbow, top from the scalloped die) with some cardstock and the All Heart DP.  Note that the typical size of this die was a bit small for this wider container, so I had to adjust it to be bigger.  I tacked those down.  Next, I stamped the Octopus form the Ocean Reef Builder set and colored it with Copics.  I cut it out and added it to my cup.  Inside my cup I filled it with whoppers which look somewhat like bubble tea and taste good alone. :D  I made a tag and added some twine.

Here they are together, I think they turned out pretty cool!
