Trick or Treat

Happy Thursday!  I have been having so much fun with my new stamp set from Whimsy Stamps. One of my stamping buddies used it and I had to have it.  So, I decided to make another creation for the Inkspiration Challenge- Mask.  I used masking technique and my character's are dressed up.

Here is a first look at these adorable characters:

Don't you just love them?!  I spent a lot of time coloring these sweet little candy corn characters, and I plan to color more of them.  Here is the full look:

The whole scene together makes me very happy.

Here's how I made it:

  • Like usual I started with my characters from the Candy Corn Dress Up set from Whimsy stamping and coloring with Copics.  I cut them out using my scan and cut and set them aside.
  • Next, I used my Trinity Stamps Narrow Card and Bookmark die with Envelope to cut some white paper and some black.
  • On the white, I used a circle die to create negative space for a moon, and added distress ink with my Trinity Blending Buddy.  Then I added the clouds using my MFT Cloud Stencil and purple distress ink.
  • Next, I took the black layer and used my SugarCut Spooky Scape die from SugarPea to create the haunted house scene and bats. I married the cloud layer and haunted layer together.
  • I placed my characters in the front of the scene with the scalloped layer.
  • I mounted the scalloped layer on black
  • Lastly, I stamped my sentiment on a bit of purple paper and adhered it to the inside.

I hope you like this card, I really enjoy it!
