Make a Monster

Happy Saturday!

Hopefully you joined us for the Trinity new release hop yesterday. But you have lots of time to join. I also have another fun set of creations for you today that might inspire you to to join in on the fun!

Aren't they adorable?! Little monster cups perfect for valentines! I love each cute little character. Seriously this Make a Monster Die Set is so cute and adaptable! Check out all these parts-

Here is a close up of each of the three cups individually:

This one kinda makes me think of Sully from Monster's Inc. It must be the fuzzy horns. I die cut them in blue, but added some color to them with Copics to make them look that way. I also added gel highlights to the nose. The eyes are the I've Got My Eye On You Embellishments. I think what I used as teeth is meant to be an eyebrow, but I used it as teeth.

This one is girlfriend monster! She likes to dress up and has her glittery lipstick and eyeshadow. In the middle of her bow, you'll notice a little heart using the Sweet Strawberry Heart Sprinkles.

This last one is my favorite because he reminds me of the Lorax with his mustache. Again, I believe these are meant to be eyebrows, but they make the perfect mustache. The heart and the base sleeves (on all the cups) are from Mini Coffee Cup Sleeve and Die Set and of course the Mini Paper Cup Craft Kit.

Trinity Stamps- Crafty Hugs Release

Happy Trinity Stamps January Release Day! We have an amazing release for you with so many fun projects and so much inspiration! Oh, and prizes...we have those too. 😀

Are you ready for it? Here....we.... go!!!!!!!!!

OK, here is my first project and admittedly my favorite. It just looks yummy with the rainbows and everything and the message makes my heart happy.

As you can see, it is a lift the tab card with a special message inside. Wait for it.....

BAM! All together it says "your existence makes this world better." I can think of a few people I might like to give this to. :)

To make this one I cut my top white layer to 4.25 X 4.25. I used the Foundation Circle Stencils, starting with the smallest outer circle and applying red distress ink with my Blending Buddy. Then I went up a size on the outside and used the smallest inside circle to create the next ring in orange and so on. Then I cut the lift up flap using a die. After I masked and stamped the image from the Better Place stamp set. I stamped it again on white and colored with Copics and popped up specific spots and added the Boiled Sugar Jelly Drop Hearts. I added glossy accents to the heart and set this layer aside to dry.

Then I worked on the base layer of 4.25 X 8.5 (folded in half) by distressing it in the same blue. Then I used the discarded portion of the previous stamp on white, the "better" portion, and colored in in rainbow with my Copics. Again, I popped it up on my card, on the base layer. I added a little strip of paper below. Then I mounted the top layer using double layer of foam tape. After that I added a few more Cinnamon Red Hot Jelly Drop Hearts inside.

The Cats Pajamas

Good morning everyone! Today we share inspiration featuring this adorable new “Make Tea” set available today at The Cat’s Pajamas! So let's get to it shall we?

Here is my first card for today. I thought the bunny was so cute looking up, it just needed something to look at, so I gave it butterflies. Perfect for the sentiment, along with the flowers. They just seem perfect for peace and tea.

I used distress ink Worn Lipstick and this Echo Park stencil for the background with my blending brush. I colored my bunny with Copics (blender, C1, W3, G00, G02, BG32, RV42, E23), added a little black glaze pen on the nose, let it dry and then cut it out. Then I mounted it using foam tape on the base and put the sentiment on the top. The Unicorn Pinata Party embellishments were the last touch.

Next up is my Keep Calm card. I love these images too. Just super sweet!

Again, these are the sweetest images ever! I love them with the pastel colors, seems so perfect for spring. That sleepy bunny- OMG!

For this one I stamped my images with black ink and colored them with Copics (E11, E31, E33, B01, B02, BG10, BG32, V12, RV02, RV42, Y11, C1, W3, blender). I added more black glaze pen to the nose with a highlight and then I cut them out. I mounted this scrap of DP on my white base. Next I stamped the sentiment on the vellum and added it to the base. I mounted my images using foam tape. Lastly I added these fun Jelly Heart Embellishments.

Gummy Bears

Happy Wednesday! I am back again with another card using the Whimsy Stamps Sugar Rush Kit. But... by the time you read this they may be gone!!! GAH! Once they sell out, they sell out. So if you still want one, GO, GO, GO!

I have another card today with a bit of a masculine spin because I like to share the versatility of this kit.

I am kinda drooling a little bit. LOL. But those bears are so cute, I am not sure I could eat them.

So to make this, I started with a standard size A2 card. I took some of the paper from the kit and trimmed it to 4 X 5.25 and adhered it to the base. Next I stamped my bunch of gummy bears from the Sweet as Sugar set using Ink on 3 black and colored them with my Copics (RV04, R02, R08, R35, B000, B02, B05, Y13, Y15, YR02, YR04, YR07, FYG2, YG11, YG13). I cut them out and stamped a few extra to scatter around my card. Then I stamped the Candy Jar from the Sugar Rush set and used a little BG10 for highlight. I cut it out and placed all my elements on the DP. Next, I stamped my sentiment on a strip of turquoise paper. I stapled it onto my card for more of that guy feel.
