Birthday Line-Up!

Guess what?!  Today is my birthday!  So I am celebrating MY WAY!  What is great about getting older is that the more time goes on, the more I don’t care about what people think of me.  That doesn’t mean I am not kind or thoughtful or willing to change, learn and take in feedback.  But if folks don’t like me, that is their deal and I won’t internalize it.

That said, as I celebrate my way, I am bringing out my nerd side …again…heh….
This card is sooo fun for me.  I really enjoyed making it.  You may have seen my sneak peak on Instagram here.

And here is the final product!

This card is basically all (or most) of my bigfoot/yeti stamps stamped in layers by masking.  I colored them all with Copics, added a few extra bits (binocs, butterfly, flag) and a sentiment and wahlah!

From Left to right, back to front, here is the Line-Up:
Top Row: Bo Bunny
Middle Row- Neat & Tangled, Hero Arts, Mama Elephant
Bottom Row- Kindred Spirits, Atelier, MFT, Lawn Fawn and Craftin’ Desert Divas

I thank you for your visit today and hope you have the most amazing day!

Stand Tall

Welcome to Tuesday!  I have a set of beautiful cards for you today that I made for some beautiful friends.

It isn't often that I buy wood mount stamps anymore, but every so often I go into my local stamp store Impress and find some that I can't pass up.  This bloom is just such a stamp.

This first card features the bloom stamped and watercolored with my Spectrum Noir Aqua markers. I let it dry and cut it out.  I cut some leaves out using the Hello Bluebird Leaf dies and added color to them using my distress inks.  The sentiment is from an Essentials by Ellen (Julie Ebersole) set, and felt like the perfect sentiment for my friend.  I hand drew the faux stitching around the outside and added some sequins.

The second version of this card I used the same bloom and colored it with my Copics. The leaves in this one are slightly different but colored using the distress inks.  The sentiment is from the same set.  I liked how the blue paper set off against the yellow. The background is a MFT die plate.

I hope you enjoyed this post and I thank you for visiting!

Bee Happy!

I just have a quick post for you today.

I wanted to share this super sweet card with you.  I had so much fun watercoloring the image from Darcie Stamps with my Zigs.  I cut it out and put in on this Lawn Fawn DP that I cut using a Gina Marie Designs Die.  The sentiment is also LF.  The faux stitching around the edge was fun to add.

That's all friends, I hope you like it!

Kindness is Beautiful!

Happiest Monday to you!  I hope you are enjoying the day.  I have a super sweet card to share with you today.

This card features these darling images from Hello Bluebird, I so enjoyed coloring them.  The mouse on the Elephant's trunk is so sweet and kind.  Which is why I chose the sentiment I did from Ellen Houston Stamps by Julie Ebersole.  I cut the scene out with MFT die.  I added these clouds and sun from Verve.  The paper from American Crafts is cut using a Gina Marie Designs.  This card just makes me heart smile.

Caffeine Powers Activate

Who's ready for a stupendous Coffee Loving Cardmaker's Sponsor Solo with Lil' Inker Designs?!

It is pretty exciting because Lil' Inker has a new June release! This fabulous set is the Super Coffee stamps and die set.  IT IS AWESOME!

Was I right, or was I right?!  I mean this fun set checks all the boxes, cute, brilliant, witty, delicious!

For this creation, I stamped the image and used the accompanying die cut.  I colored it using my Copics.  I wanted to go with the primary colors you typically see super hero's wearing.  I had a die cut alphabet and cut a C twice so I could layer and it and create an emblem.  This fabulous hero really stands out against the white circle with the die cut background.  The stars are a nice addition to emphasize how heroic this cup is.  And the sentiment, well the sentiment says it all!

Here is a close up of that fabulous cup!

Party!

Who's ready for a little party?  ME!!!!!!!!!

This is one more belated birthday card, I am horrible this year.  My intent is good and I remember the bdays but don't get them in the mail until after.  Sigh.  Sorry friends.

So this card features some amazingly cute stamps from Craftin' Desert Divas.  They are coupled with these party balloons from Mama Elephant.  I love the soft pastels. I coupled this with some SU! cardstock for the base and some Doodlebug DP.

I hope you like it Claire B (Claire Creates Cards: And More)!

New Goodies

Happy Monday!  Wanted to play with my new Ink Road Stamps that I won from the Coffee Loving Cardmaker's Spring Summer Blog Hop over the weekend.  So here is the first thing I made.

Made this for a friend of mind who needs a little pick me up.  I used the Chin-up Buttercup stamp set on watercolor paper.  I used my Zigs to add color. I cut the paper with an Avery Elle Wonky Stiches die.  I put some blue paper behind to pull out the blue in the hexagons. I some some tiny sequins and mounted on my card base.  Wah-lah!

Just Because

Happy Tuesday! I wanted to swing by to share a card I made and shipped off to a friend.

This is a pretty CAS card, which is difficult for me to do.  But I was coloring these lovely Power Poppy pots and I was thinking of shelves on the wall and didn't feel it needed anything else.  For some reason when I was making this it reminded me of miss Michelle Ferguson (I Card Everyone), so I sent it her way.  I used my Copics for coloring.  I cut some woodgrain paper for my shelves.  I stamped and embossed this sentiment from Crafter's Companion and threw on a few sequins.

What a wonderful world

Hello Wonderful!  Yes, I am talking to you! J Thank you for visiting me today to see my creation.
I’ll keep this short and sweet as this one is pretty simple.  I used the Concord & 9th Wonderful Florals Stamp.  I stamped on watercolor paper and used Archival Ink, I used my Misti to make sure I got it dark enough.  Once I had her down on paper, I used my Zigs to add color.  I love the soft subtle hues, they make me swoon.

I MADE my husband send this one to my MIL for Mother’s Day- you know how that goes for most men.  I hope she liked it!

 Thanks for the visit!

Spring/Summer CLC Bloghop Day 8

Well, the final day of the Spring/Summer CLC Bloghop is here.  Sniff.  But it was a fun ride wasn't it?!?!  I have one final card for you before all is said and done and it features products from FOUR super sponsors!

This last one features stamps from SS Honey Bee Stamps Coffee Break set.  I stamped them on watercolor paper and colored them using my SN Aquablend pencils and water pen.  I placed this on the cut circle from SS SugarPea Designs Zig Zag Stitched Circles.  On which I stamped the sentiment from SS Lawn Fawn's Life is Good set. The DP is from American Crafts Sunny collection.  Lastly, you'll notice that I used SS Avery Elle Scalloped Frame Die.

Now we all make mistakes and being able to admit it is a good thing.  Honestly, I probably need a whole stack of these card with a Sbux gift card enclosed so I can make up for mine!  :)

Well, I hope you have enjoyed the hop as much as I have!  Happy Friday!
