This stamp set focuses on making snow critters, but I wanted to use it to decorate a Christmas tree.
Here is how I made this card:
- I started by stamping and coloring my images with my Copics. I cut them out with my scissors, fussy style and set them aside.
- Next, I cut a white panel to 4 x 5.25. On the panel, I used the Trinity Layered Pine Tree Stencil with distress inks and glitter paste to set the tree. The star is from the same stencil set.
- Once it was dry, I stamped the snowflakes around in light blue.
- I also stamped the ornaments on the tree, from a Hello Bluebird set, so that the hooks would show up. I stamped them again on white paper and colored them with Copics and added white highlights. I added them to my tree by popping them up with dimensionals.
- Then I stamped my bunny and hedgehog on the base so I could make sure to align them correctly. I added some shadows beneath them and the tree, them I added my cut images with foam tape.
- I cut a layer of white to make a snow layer and added it to my panel to create additional dimension. I added my mice on top and added the shadows underneath them too.
- I mounted this all on a white base and finished it off by stamping the sentiment on a tag and then brushed it with the same blue I used for the snowflakes.
I am very happy with this scene. I love the sparkle of the three with the cute critters and bright ornaments. I hope you like it too. Big THANKS to Miss Ink for the fantastic prize!
