Fusion- Vintage Floral

Happy days are here again! Why? The sun is shining outside (at least as I am typing this) and it is Fusion Card Challenge time! Woot, woot!

Check out this fun challenge:

So divine! I love the colors and the prints and the vintage feel and the Ranunculous (one of my very favorite flowers!!!). The sketch is fun too with all those layers...which to choose, which to choose?!

Um, ok, photo inspiration it is!

The yellow, red and stripes in the print are pretty obvious, but I picked up on the subtle blue too and love that it is part of myt card. The base is Costal Cabana (big boo-hoo that this SU! in color is in it's last season!), with some Real Red. The DP is Lawn Fawn and Heidi Swapp. The lovely jar stamp is from Lawn Fawn's Summertime Charm and I added blue shading with my copics. The straw is from the oldie but goodie Fresh Squeezed Stamps and the sentiment is from Simon Says Stamps. I added the black star from doodlebug for fun. Loving the fun colors.

So......back to the question at hand, which part of the challenge will YOU choose? Or will it be both?! I can't wait to see!

Colour Me #68

Welcome to my favorite day of the week....Colour Me day! OK, honestly, Friday/Sat. are my fave days, BUT when it comes to work days, my faves are Wed. and Thursday for Colour Me and Fusion! YAHOO!

Here is the super duper fun and enticing pallet we are playing with this week.

Um....so fun right?! I LURVE these colors, bright and fabulous.

Here is what I made for this week's challenge. I just love this bunny- he is so cute! He is from the Cat's Pajamas. I colored him with my Copics and felt very brave for making him blue. :) I tend to stick with realistic colors when doing things, today I let my imagination run wild! hahaha. I used my SU! DP to accent this sweet guy and my scissor circle cutter for the Night of Navy circle.

Colour Me #67

Well another fun round of Colour Me has come and gone. I just loved all the entries for last week's challenge! I look forward to this week's too... and here's why:

I LOVE these soft pastel tones, so very sweet and perfect for spring. Subtle yet lovely doncha think?

Here is what I made for this week's Challenge:

I had fun with this one, love anything to do with coloring for sure. This lovely little lady is from WPlus9. My lovely friend Kimberly of Wienerhoneymooners gave me the sweet stamp and die. It was easy to pair it up using these colors and my Copics. I found perfect cooresponding DP from October Afternoon and used SU! cardstock and ribbon. The sentiment is from my woodmount collection, this one from Hero Arts.

What do you think? Isn't this darling girl just the sweetest? It is hard to go wrong with that image.

A Regal Occassion

Have I ever told you that I love the Fusion Card Challenge?! I DOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! Seriously, the DT rocks and the crafters that come out and play are no less talented. It really just makes me happy to be part of this experience.

With that we bring you another challenge. Check out this image below. What does it bring to mind for you?

I just love the colors and it makes me thing of a regal occassion, something fit for royalty, especially with that blue....

Here is what I made for this week's challenge. Less regal perhaps, a little softer, maybe a card for Mother's Day (thought I haven't marked it with any sentiment) It is a fun mixture of Lawn Fawn Stamps and Dies and some Mama Elephant stamps as well. The oval is from MFT and the cardstock is the Crisp Cantaloupe from SU! (one of my favie-fave colors). I don't often gravitate towards royal blues but in this case it really grabs the eye.

Colour Me #66

Hello my crafty peeps! Super excited to share this week's Colour Me Challenge with you today. FABULOUS colors- check it out!

Seriously... wow right?!

Here is what I came up with this week:

I seriously LOVE this stamp set! Shout out to SU! for SALE-a-bration and my demo who hooked me up- Tonya Jastad- http://theheartdesires.com/. Anyway, this image is was so fun to color with my copics and I cut it out and used dimensionals. A touch of crystal effects on the eye and it looks so real to me. LOVE.! I have to say, I don't know what inspired this design, but I am quite happy with the angular look. The Pinkfresh studio woodchips with color are the perfect accent to complement the lines.

Colour Me #65

Hi! Welcome to one of the best days of the week- Colour Me Challenge Day!

Here is this week's fun challenge:

Here is what I made for this challenge:

I had to substitute my blues since I didn't have any Soft Sky, so I used Pool Party instead. I used my new Four Feather's Set by SU! I accented it with the fun feather wood chip from Studio Calico and the these little gens (not sure what they are called so I'll call them Dew Drops) from Impress. Te sentiment is from Impression Obsession. I haven't had a ton of occassions to use this sentiment, but I love it, so uplifting and I love the detail in the script.
