Fusion Poppies

Hello Fusion Fans!  Happy Thursday to you and Happy ALMOST Halloween!

Meanwhile, this round of Fusion feels more springy than fall.

For my creation this week I was channeling my friend and fellow Fusion teamie Kimberly Wiener.  She does the most amazing things with stencils, I am always in awe.

For this card, I obviously used a stencil on white cardstock.  The stencil Dylusions and I used my Ranger Stormy Sky Distress ink to add color.  I die cut the notebook paper shape from Paper Smooches on actual notebook paper.  I stamped the image from Woodware Craft Collection on White and used more distress inks to add color (Fired Brick, Peeled Paint and Wild Honey), applying the yellow in the middle with a sponge dauber.   I cut them out and mounted them up and added the sentiment.

Head on over to Fusion and check out all the amazing DT creations. You will leave feeling inspired!

Since it is almost Halloween, I need to know... are you dressing up?  Do you know what you are gonna be?

Fall Hello- 2 Crafy Girls

I am guesting over at 2 Crafty Girls Challenge  again.  Loving this month's theme of Halloween/Fall, check out the mood board.

And....this month's challenge is sponsored by Dies R Us. You name the kind of die and you can bet that they probably carry it!

Here is my card for this challenge.  I focused on the sketch for the challenge.

I used these leaves from TDD making this fabulous BasicGrey DP steal the stage.  I also used this backdrop die from TDD in Pool Party CS from SU!.  I also brushed Baked Brown Sugar around the edges and used it for the sentiment.  I put some of the ruffled Calypso Coral ribbon behind.  Pretty pleased with how fabulous those three leaves look.

You have a few days left to come join the challenge over at 2 Crafty Girls.  Head on over!

Thanks for stopping!

SSC112

Happy Seahawks Sunday!  Will you be watching football today?  OR????

Sunday Stamps has another fun sketch for you this week.  So many options for what to use it for, Halloween, Christmas, Hanukkah, Birthdays, and more.  What will you use it for?

Here is what I made with the sketch.

This card uses Stampers Anonymous Halloween Blueprint.  I colored the beak and the feet of the raven and added some crystal effects to the eye.  I used some old SU! DP behind and mounted it on the Blackberry Bliss paper.  The enamel dots are from MME.  The sheer ribbon and the tiny brass key (purchased at a bead store) are my fave parts.

So head on over to Sunday Stamps and see what all the other ladies created.

Thanks for stopping!

Fusion- All Hallows Eve

Halloween's a coming and I've got the chills.  There are oh so many ghosts and goblins that will be out and about- SCARY!

BUT to get ready for the scares we are having some Halloween fun over at Fusion. Here's this week's challenge.

So many fun things in the image to focus in on and the sketch is super fun.

I made a few cards for this but didn't love the first, here is my second take.

I love, love, love the Tim Holtz/Stamper Anonymous blueprint stamps, they are so fun and so easy to use for shabby chic cards.  I used the poison bottle for my card and colored the glass with my Putty colored Copic and the Stopper with my Sand.  I love the look here.  I distressed the edges of the vanilla paper and inked it with black.  I mounted over this green polka dot paper on black and added these black stars from doodlebug designs.  Though it is hard to tell the ribbon is a dark purple.  It is the ribbon from the inside of ladies blouses that you use to keep them on hangars, I hate them so I always cut them out and save them for crafts.  :)

Head on over to Fusion to check out all ladies cards, they will put a spell on you!

Thanks for stopping today.

SSC111

Happy Sunday!  Can you feel the crisp chill in the air indicating fall?  I can, it is welcome to have a bit of a chill but still have the sun blazing.

Meanwhile, this week's Sunday Stamps Challenge is going to have you feeling all fall...or maybe winter.  The colors speak fall to me but the sweet image is very wintery.  I can't wait to see what direction you take it.

Here's what I did with the inspiration.

I used my new Hero Arts/Kelly Purkey Seattle Planner set to make this card.  I stamped my images on Vanilla base and added some gray with my Copics.  I stamped and cut out the Space Needle seperately so it could hang over the edge of the skyline.  I used various scraps of a mustard-ish DP to make the smaller mountains in front and pop them out at varous levels.  I then mounted it on the honeycomb DP and again on the Geotags (perfect for this setting eh?) and again on some Grey CS from SU!.  I am happy with the bright happy feel but that it is still masculine.  Thinking I may send it to my Uncle in cali. :)

Now the ladies over at the SS blog have some awesome creations up that are gonna knock you right out of your seat!  Head on over and check them out.  Then you can decide if you are gonna play along and if you'll focus on fall or winter....?  I hope you do and can't wait to see what you make!

Happy Sunday!

Lenae's Birthday blog hop!

Howdy. Today is a special day.  Why?  Lenae is having a Birthday!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY LENAE!!!

Of course the PNW craft group is having a blog hop for her.  I wish I could bring her some tasty treats like she always brings me.  She is such a sweet lady and a sweet baker! :)

Here is the card I made for Lenae:

This beautiful bloom is from Walter and Winnie.  I used my Copics to color it and added some tiny little sequins from my PTI Make it to Market shaker kit for a little bonus sparkle.  The cardstock is Pistachio from SU!  I stamped the stem in black letting the cardstock show through.  I also pierced a few holes in the CS to tie a bit of twine around the stem.  The sentiment from DKDesigns is stamped on Kraft, the inner edge rounded and then stapled on.  I stamped the 7 gypsies moth on white and colored it with a mint and sand markers.  After cutting the moth out, I mounted it with several dimensionals to add more dimension.  Then I sprinkled a few extra sequins around and distressed the edges.

I have popped this in the mail to send to Ms. Lenae.  Please help her have a happy birthday by checking out all these cards out the ladies made for her and then stop and wish her a HAPPY BIRTHDAY!

Fusion- Falling Leaves

We have another fun challenge in store for you over at Fusion!  Check out this challenge:

There is soooo much room for play with this image and sketch.

Here is my creation for this fun challenge.

I  was attempting to pick up on the feel of fluttering leaves picking up the light as they fall.  To achieve that feel, I picked up my Walter and Winnie die and multifaceted cut away.  I used the golden yellow from the fall leaves and the soft green from the pitcher in the image and coupled them with gray.  Putting all the pieces in was like playing with a puzzle.  :)  I stamped the image of the flower and leaves from Addie's Garden (also WW) and colored them Copics blending the colors with the background. You may have noticed the tag in the upper right, it is something I've been holding onto for a while.  I couldn't help but keep this tag, compelled to upcycle it at some time, so here you have it.  I die cut sentiment is from Little B dies.

I hope that you will come and play this fun challenge with us.  Can't wait to see what you make!
