He{ART}ful

So who's ready to get lovey-dovey for valentines day?  What are your plans?  We don't do much for the holiday, at least we don't go out on the town but we love eachother just the same. :)

Meanwhile, Fusion is out on the town with this fun challenge.

So much fun and wait until the you see what the entire design team has in store- WOW!  Go to the Fusion blog to check it out.

Here is what I have for you today:

The inspiration for this was this fun Washi tape from.... wait for it.... Scotch Tape Brand!  Can you believe it?  If I didn't take the wrapping off myself I would believe it, but it is awesome.  I layered it in rows lining up the stripes on my white cardstock.  Then I cut this heart out on the white square in front.  This fun die is from one of the first Make it to Market kits from PTI, the shaker one.  I love all the dies, they rock my world.  I used dimensional to set the backdrop apart from the front with the stamped sentiment from Casual Fridays.  The banner across the bottom is just pain cardstock that matches the washi.  Clean, simple and fun!

So... your turn!

Be sure to check out the inspiration, the rules and link up over at the Fusion blog!

Twinkle, Twinkle, little star...

....how I wonder what you are....

Hiya friends!  Glad you are back for another week and another AH-Mazing Colour Me Challenge! The gals have whipped up some awesome creations for you using this super poppin' color palette!

I know you want to Colour Yourself Playful too and it just so happens that Island Indigo, Rich Razzleberry, Tangelo Twist and Daffodil Delight are the perfect colors to do just that.

Here is what I have in store for you this week:

This little sweet pea is from Mama Elephant's Cosmic Stars set.  She is so darn cute right?!  I colored her little dress in razzleberry.  The Indigo and Tangelo paper really pop against the white background.  I used some fun PTI clouds to add some dimension along with those bright and sparkly Freckled Fawn Stars.  I used the corresponding Starry Night (ME) sentiment set to add the little twinkle, twinkle.  To me this seems like a perfect card for a little dreamer out there and I may know just the one. :)

SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO.....  please head on over to the other ladies blogs to check out their creations because they *will* knock your socks off!

This month's guest- Tenia Nelson.

CMCC #55

Hello!  Welcome to one of the best days of the week....because it is hump day AND Colour Me Challenge Day!  The perfect combo.

This week the team is playing with Hello Honey, Cajun Craze & Mossy Meadow...

Such a fun image eh?!

Here is my creation for the week.

This features Lawn Fawn's Life is Good set stamped on Crumb Cake in Momento black in.  I colored it using my Prismacolor colored pencils, they worked great even on the colored paper.  I backed it with some Cajun Craze Cardstock and mounted it on white.  I brushed some additional brown around the edges.  I added a little SU! clip and some twine as a final added element.

This card is for my hubby....ahem....  Admittedly, I was pretty grumpy last night... Sorry Honey!  So I think I'll just write a nice little note in this one later and give it to him. :)

So, that is all.  Be sure to head over to the Colour Me blog to check out the rules and the amazing DT inspiration.  Here is the line up of the ladies:

Flashback

Today I have a quick post for you.  I have quite a few cards I made for the holidays that I didn't
have time to share.  They are still new, so why not share here?!

The Fusion DT did a little "Secret Santa" this year, sending eachother a card and something small to fit in the envelope!  I was lucky enough to get my friend Deepti- she is such and amazing crafter and sweet friend.  She doesn't celebrate Christmas and yet she sent me a Christmas card in return.  Um...is that nice or what?!

So this is the card I sent her.  I used my Crate Paper Bundled Up paper with SU! cardstock, this adorable Penny Black stamp colored with my SU! markers and some copics.  This was the first time I used this darling stamp!  I added a little glitter to the cupcake.  I stamped the sentiment from Lawn Fawn.

Epic Love

Christmas was a few weeks back now... time to move on to other things!  VALENTINES!  Anyone on valentine overload already?  I am not yet, but I haven't yet given it my all.  I am sure that I will soon enough. LOL

Meanwhile, I love this week's Fusion Challenge, which you can use to inspire you to make some valentines or something very different.  What I love about this is the texture of the wood and the grey. It is sweet and lovely but not a traditional valentines look- great inspiration!

So, I was inspired to make something a little different myself- loving the DP with the wood and florals and cut using this Top Dog Dies Heart Doily Die.  The wood banner, a fabulous piece made by Freckled Fawn (I use these sparingly) paired with the little love stamp from Walter and Winnie. The sparkly coral deer seemed a strike of brilliance after failing with other papers, love these Impression Obsession dies.  Last but not least, the Studio Calico wood chips and the Neat and Tangled sequins.

So, I am going to save this for a special someone! :)  Now, let's see what you are gonna make for this challenge.  Bring out all the stops like you did for the Birthday/Anniversary Challenge (Wow you all did Ah-Mazing!) and I can't wait to read all about it!

Please head on over to the Fusion blog and see all the fab creations the the DT ladies made!

Thanks for stopping today!

Here is what I have in store for you for this challenge:

My lovely friend Kimberly Wiener let me use this stamp....love it... love her!  I colored it with my Prismacolor Colored Pencils and then cut it out with MFT oval die cut.  I added a little splatter onto the white with my Firecracker spritzers.  I mounted this on my blue paper where you can see I stamped a pattern around in Versamark with some Cas-ual Friday Stamps.  The sentiment in black is from Walter and Winnie.  Completed with some Enamel dots from MME.

Here is the first challenge for this new team:

Right out of the gate, I'll admit that monochromatics are the hardest for me.  Thank goodness for neutrals!  :)

My supplies are mostly SU!  with a Winnie and Walter die cut compliments of Miss Kelly Griglione (Thanks girl!) and some Freckled Fawn stars.  I am loving the sparkle and shine!

Happy Birthday to someone special!

Today I have a big shout out going out to someone special!  It is his birthday today and though he is older than me, I'd still consider him young...ish!  heh-heh.  Who is that special someone?  it is my big brother!

I have to be honest, I don't envy him having a birthday right after Christmas.  I think that is a rough time to have a birthday, people always forget.  Or, they put thought into the Christmas gift but then don't know what to get for the birthday or vice versa if the birthday comes first.  I speak from experience here!  I never know what to get my brother for his birthday.  BUT he is really into cooking and is becoming quite the chef, so I've gotten him something along those lines.... SHHHHH!  DON'T TELL! ;)

This seemed like the perfect card for a January birthday, especialy since it is snowing and cold in his neck of the woods.  This features the little tiny baby snowman from the Paper Smooches Cool Dudes Set.  It is perfectly complimented by the Doodlebug Design DP paper.  The sentiment is from Verses Rubber Stamps, the cardstock SU!, the die from Top Dog Dies and the little snowflake gems from Impress.  I made a few different versions of this card with different sized snow folk and flakes, this one seemed to be the best-est for my brother.

So, a big...Huge, GIGANTIC....   HAPPY BIRTHDAY BROTHER!  I love you!

Happy New Year- A Fusion Celebration!

Happy 2015 to you and yours!  I hope that you rang in this New Years in the best way possible!  I'd love to know just what you did and how you celebrated, do tell!

Meanwhile, we are celebrating another occasion here.  Fusion is celebrating it's one year Anniversary (the re-grand opening that is) and we have a super fun party happening.  Head over to the Fusion blog to check it out.  BUT before you go...... I have some fin in store for you here as well.

Here is the amazing fun sketch and inspiration for this challenge:

Here is the creation that I've made for this Birthday Celebration.  I used a ton of fun products... SU! paper and embossing powder, Neat and Tangled sentiment, Little B washi tape, Lawn Fawn star dies and Top Dog Dies.  I love the mix of pink, black and the gold.  Regal and fitting for this celebration.

Now what's really exciting, is that each one of the DT has gotten to chose a guest for this celebration.  I have chosen the ever amazing Joni Nina Andaya!  Every creation she makes sparks my sense of wonder and awe.  How she does it?  I am not sure, but it is nothing short of miraculous!  So with that I give you Joni (Papell with Love) and her beautiful creation.

Amazing or what?  Words can't describe how happy this makes me feel.  Anyone would be so lucky to get such a caring card.  I am lucky to have her as my guest. I can't tell her how thankful I am that she has joined us for this celebration.

Please, please go to the Fusion blog and see the other amazing guest designers and their creations.  Then give your hand a try at the challenge, it is sure to start you 2015 out on a positive note!

Happy New Year and Happy Birthday to Fusion!  Big Thanks to Lesley Croghan for all her work on the Fusion blog!!!!
