THD CHallenge 13, Mid Challenge

Hey friends, are you ready for a little more inspiration from the current THD Challenge?  I hope so because the girls over on the blog have some amazing stuff to share. As a reminder here is the inspiration photo.

For my second card here is my creation.  I used a new Hero Arts French Treats set and repeatedly stamped it using Hero Arts Intense Black Ink on the white cardstock.  I colored the sweet cakes and meringues with my Copics.  I placed over this fun DP from Doodlebug.  Once it was all set I went back and cut the Waffle Flower Yippee Word Die using some sparkly foam paper.

I hope you like the card and will come join us for the challenge!

Sneak Peak- CC Glamour Collection!

Hey!  Guess what?!  Crafter's Companion is coming out with another great collection for the July HSN show.  The dies and stamps are going to be amazing, I can't wait until they are shared.  In the meantime, here is a sneak peak using some of the new collections.

This is a wedding card I made using the Coastal Pearl Shimmer Cardstock and some floral DP to imply "something borrowed something blue."   I cut the new doily and flowers from the De'sire Create a Card collection called Spring Garden. The other new products include this fancy die called Dress to Impress from the Glamour Collection.  I cut this in glittery foam to give it both dimension and sparkle.  I stamped the sentiment and used the Glamour pearls.

Here is another shot.

What do you think?  Is this collection going to knock you off of your feet?  I suspect it might.

Be sure to join us on July 11th as this fabulous collection kicks off.  You can find the details here along with all the products and more sneak peaks!

Happy Father's Day!

Happy Father's Day to all you!  I have a couple of clean and simple cards to share with you today that are perfect for the Dad's in your life and featuring Crafter's Companion Products.

First up is this card featuring The Sheena Douglas Dig for Victory stamp set.  Such a fun set and really versatile.  It has accompanying dies and other stamps that work perfectly with it.  I used the CC Kraft cardstock for the best base.  I colored the tools using my Spectrum Noir markers EB2, TN2, TN7, BG1, BG2 and BG4.  I added some twine and enamel dots to complete the rustic feel.

This second card also uses the CC Kraft and White cardstock.  I stamped the image from the Sheena Douglas Clematis stamp set.  I colored this one using the following Spectrum Noir markers: CG1, CG2, DG2, BG1, 2 & 4, TB! & 2, CT1- 3 and GB5.  I love the way it pops off the page.  The little clip adds the perfect finish.

It's Your Birthday- Get Carried Away!

Today is a special day!  It is the day one of my favorite people in the world was born!  Happy Birthday to you Lindsay Brookhart, I love you dearly SW!

This card was created using distress inks and a cloud die.  Once the background was done I stamped the sentiment.  I stamped and colored my Stamping Bella image with Copics.  Admittedly it was hard to get into those tiny spots!  Once colored I cut using my Scan n' Cut and adhered her using dimensionals.

This girl emanates many of the characteristics of this friend, she is funny, fun and knows how to have a good time.  Though we don't see each other very much we always have an amazing time together!
Thank you for being such a special friend... and wife! ;)

Hugs,
Katie

THD Challenge 13

Welcome back to another THD Challenge.  Today's inspiration is fun but was truly challenging for me, will it be the same for you?  Check it out.

Here is my creation inspired by the spindles of the umbrella.

I started with my white cardstock and Carta Bella Plaid Stencil.  I used my Ranger Ink Twisted Citron and Ranger Ink Mini Blending Tool to create this backdrop.  I love the effect and it gives me the feel of that umbrella.  I then stamped and colored this image from the new Lawn Fawn Set Wild For You.  Love this cute little gator!  You can see the bits of red I added in the hat on his head.  This is a fun CAS card that would work well for a guy in you life.

Come join us at THD for the latest challenge.  Thanks for visiting, I hope you enjoyed this post today.

Cookie Batter

Some days are good, some days are bad.  WE all experience it.  The best thing I can do when a friend has a hard day is to try to help, find the good, OR give them cookie batter!  Mmmm...  (No, I don't eat my feelings, what are you talking about!?- Wink!)

Anyway, this sweet girl from Your Next Stamps is sooooooo cute!  I just can't get enough of her and have been busy coloring her many different ways.  But this was one my first attempt at coloring her with red hair.  What do you think?  Not perfect, but I am working on it and I love how it turned out anyway.  She is perfect with this backdrop of fun papers and the cork heart from Freckled Fawn.  I colored her using my Copics. I look forward to sending this as a pick me up type of card to a friend when needed.
