Sunday Stamps- 119

What is your favorite day of the week?  Me, I have two and they are Saturday and Sunday.  I know it was probably hard for you to guess that! ;)  Both have special appeal because of the weekend and not being at work.  Sunday get's a little extra pizzazz though, because it it is Sunday Stamps challenge day!  So let's get right to that pizzazz shall we... Here is this week's challenge:

To me, this picture says fall, but there are so many choices with this color pallette.  I went for something different and entirely outside my comfort zone.

I used watercolor paper t create the background.  I used a combo of spritzers and ink refill bottles.  I didn't have the craft color, so I went with something that turned out a little more yellow.  I stamped and embossed the image from Crafters Companion on velum.  I added color to a few areas and used gold SmoochGlitz to color the rest of the wings.  The sentiment is from Technique Tuesday.  I added one little red pearl as an accent (Freckled Fawn).  I used dimensionals to mount on my Chocolate Chip paper and then brushed my Tsukienko Delacata Gold around the edges.

Do I like it?  I haven't decided...  It is still out of my comfort zone and the dark colors aren't my usual, so I'll mull on it for a while.  Meanwhile, the other ladies created a fun variety of things so different from my own you have to go see them, just head on over to Sunday Stamps.  Then I hope you get inspired enough to join us. :)

Thanks for visiting!

TPD- Hydrangea's

TPD Wednesday is here!

I have a fun card for you today.  This featured Two Paper Divas Seed Packet Flowers.  I love this set, because you can use it for so many things!

I had a ton of fun using my copics to color these beauties.  I fussy cut each one out.  The bright pink CS (SU!) and the DP (Heidi Swapp) make fur a fun backdrop.  I really love the script on the DP, it is perfect for encouragement, congratulations, birthday or so many things!  I loved adding the lace ribbon and the tag with the enamel heart (Freckled Fawn).

I gave this one to one of my co-workers.  She was moving on to a new job and it seemed like the perfect card.

Now, if you head on over to Two Paper Divas, you can see this card and many others my fabulous DT pals made.

Thanks for stopping!

Wine A Little- with Fusion

Hello Fusion Fans!  Are you excited for another fun filled Fusion Challenge?

Well then, let's get to it!
I have to admit, this challenge threw me for a loop for a while, I just couldn't think what to do.  My first attempt was OK, but I didn't really like it.  This is my second attempt and it was downright easy because the DP did most of the work!

I found this Canvas Corp paper/canvas pack at my local craft store, I picked it up because there was beer paper and...well... my husband likes beer.  So when it finally dawned on me to use this paper, it was like "lightbulb!"  I started with my SU! black CS and then used my Crumb Cake and my Lawn Fawn circle dies to cut my circle.  I cut out the wine glass and the strip of paper across the bottom for the sentiment.  When both were mounted or glued I came back, it needed one final touch.  Hmmm, what goes with wine...cork (two lightbulbs in one day is pretty amazing! lol!), so I located these cork stars from Freckled Fawn and wahlah!  Aside from cutting this bad boy could have taken me about 5 minutes.

Since this challenge stumped me so, I am off to the main blog to see what the DT made.  I encourage you to play along and share what you come up with!

Thanks for stopping!

Stacked Cups- TPD

Well it's mid-week.  I am hoping that you have something that has got you jazzed to get through the rest of the week?  I don't have anything particular going on but I am in good spirits this week.

For those of you that might not be feeling jazzed or need a little pick me up, this might be the card for you.

This encouragement card features the Tea Cups stamp set from Two Paper Divas.  Love, love these cups!  They are fun to color and paper piece (as I did here).  Then sentiment is my very favorite part though, because it is so true!  I used Julie Nutting DP for the cups and the backdrop.  I love the country home, shabby-chic colors.  I distressed along the edges and used some Freckled Fawn washi and enamel dots to dress it up a little.  I love the soft colors.

I know just who to give this to, I just have to wait for the right occasion. :)

Thanks for stopping by today!

SSC118- My Happy Camper

Happy Sunday!  Sunday Stamps is here with a fun sketch for you-

Here is my take on this week's sketch.  I rotated it and used the top shape on the long side.

This card is fun for me, it represents my little Camp Fire girl.  :)  This girl doesn't have glasses, but she is still cute. lol.

I had so much fun using Jane's Doodles stamps and coloring them in.  These images are just darling! I used a Doodlebug Design paper pad for the backdrop and the tent (stamped and paper pieced).  The ies used are PTI cloud die and SU! label die.

I think my girl and I might make some Camp Fire memorabilia and use this sweet girl.

Oh and we are selling Camp Fire goodies if anyone is in need! ;)

Head over to Sunday Stamps and join us for this fun challenge!

A Warm Heart

Still sharing winter and Christmas cards!  Today I am joining The Card Concept #46 for A Warm Heart Challenge.

Isn't this such a lovely inspiration photo?  I could just drink this cup of goodness right up and devour the marshmallow!

I have the perfect card for this challenge that I made in the classy and elegant style.

This card was so fun to make.  The moose is from Merry Christmoose from MFT.  My freind Lenae stamped and cut it out using her Scan & Cut machine, such a sweet woman!  I brough him home and colored him with my Copics.  The sentiment and speach bubble is from Lawn Fawn.  I used American Crafts paper with SU! Cardstock.  The scalloped ribbon is fun with the twine tying it off at one end.  My favorite element, besides the moose are the Little B snowflake stickers, so perfect.

That's about all I have for you today.  I hope you have a HAPPY FRI-YAY! :)

Winter Wishes by Neat and Tangled

Howdy!

Believe it or not, I still have holiday cards to share.  I know that if I leave then to next year I never will, so trying to get on it before I lose my umph!

Here is one I mad using Neat and Tangled Stamps.  Really the only stamps is the sentiment, which makes this one easy card to make!  The paper (Echo Park) came with the snowflakes and swirls and the big snowflakes were precut dies.  I simply latered them, added silver cord, the sentiment and the huge gen and done!  I am not sure the picture does it justice, you miss out on a little bit of the sparkle, but still pretty eh.

Here is another pic I took as I was getting ready for work one early morn.  The soft light and the Christmas tree twinkle in the background make it magical.  The mug is one I won in a friendly game of "Nasty Santa" with my Pacific NW crafty friends group.  Some very good times with those ladies indeed!

Happy you could stop by today and thank you from the bottom of my heart!

Two Paper Divas- Winter Bear

Just last night I was reading a kids magazine with my daughter, Ranger Rick.  In the magazine there were the cutest polar bears.  I imagine up close in real life they might not be "cute" exactly, but in the pictures they sure are darling!  So it's only appropriate that my post today features this TOO CUTE image called Brrrr! Friends from Two Paper Divas.

Isn't this the most darling image!  I love the penguin and the other little birdie on the butt!  So much fun to color too!  I used my Copics of course.  At first I didn't think to put it against white circle (cut from Lawn Fawn die), but it really works with the shading and dimensionals.  The paper is perfect of course, it is from the Good Tidings collection from American Crafts.  I used a little tiny shimmery enamel dot from Freckled Fawn for the penguin hat because it matched so perfectly!  The sentiment is a Heidi Swapp rub on.  It was a little sticky initially, so I just used a pink eraser and took away the stickum. The great thing about this is that it doesn't have to be a Christmas Card, it could be for many occasions.

Do check out this stamp, it is so cute and so inexpensive, a must have!

Fusion Anniversary!

Well hello there!  Happy Thursday to you!

Today is an amazing and wonderful day because we are celebrating Fusion's 2nd Anniversary (second as of the relaunch).  I can't tell you how much I love this challenge.  I always have and to be on the team is pretty dreamy.  I simply love the inspiration, both the sketch and photos, the team is divine and the co-creator Lesley Croghan is amazing.  What more could a girl ask for?!

Not much, me thinks, but.. there is more!  Today I am joined by a lovely crafty friend of mine as a guest designer for this Anniversary challenge.  Joining me today is.....

Oh wait, let me share the challenge photo first (and let you sit with baited breath to find out what amazing lady I have here with me today!) GRIN!

Was that mean?  Perhaps just a tiny bit of teasing.  But as you are about to find, it is worth the wait.  Without further ado, my guest is the most fabulous Tracey McNeely aka In My Creative Opinion.

This sweet lady is a pure delight to know.  You can tell just by looking at her photo, she is kind and fun and oh so creative!

Tracey's card:

Um, wow right?!  The perfect tones, the lovely design, the clean and crisp canvas.... this is the perfect way to say thank you to someone in your life, Tracey nailed it!  She created a true Fusion, using the inspiration from the photo and the sketch.   Please go visit this lovely lady here and tell her how fabulous this card is.

And here is my card:

I used the colors from the inspiration photo and one element of the sketch, the oval.  I stamped my flowers (Stampers Anonymous/Studio 490) and then sponges in color using PTI Raspberry Fizz and SU! Baked Brown Sugar.  The sentiment (Impression Obsession) is also stamped in Baked Brown Sugar.  I used the negative cut from my MFT oval die with this bright yellow chevron paper.  I added the accents of the MME enamel dots, some lace ribbon and some gold floss.  It is very hard to see, but I draped a creative pattern with my floss.

This card is dedicated to both Tracey and Lesley for being AMAZING!

Please head on over to Fusion for more anniversary fun!

Two Paper Divas!

You may or may not remember, but in the fall the ladies over at Two Paper Divas asked me to guest design for them. Well, I have exciting news... they have asked me to join their design team for 2016!  I am so very flattered and thrilled to be joining Melissa and Gayla as well as the rest of the design team!  Please head on over to TPD to check out the fun products and the entire DT. :)

Now that you know, I can share my first card for the 2016 Design Team using their products. Now some people save their favorites for last, but I started with one of my favorites first.  I just love this Truck stamp!!!!!!  What I can tell you about why is that is is incredibly fun to color, is versatile as both a masculine and feminine stamps, and the possibilities are endless.  I imagine myself putting all kinds of things in the truck bed for all kinds of occasions. GRIN!

This card in particular uses some Julie Nutting DP on SU! carsdstock.  I colored the truck with my Copics (love, love, love doing that!) and cut and mounted it on the paper.  I stamped the sentiment from the  and stamped the sentiment from the Got Cake sentiment set.  I finished it off with the twine for a simple masculine touch.

This card is even more special to me because it goes out to someone amazing.  That someone is my brother, who is turning 40 today!  Big, huge, burly man wishes to my wonderful brother.  I am lucky to have you and am sending you lots of hugs!

So that's all today, thanks to you for stopping and thanks to TPD for letting me join the team!

Crystal Clear

This Hero Arts set was one of my favorite and most used this year.  I had so much fun adding color to these, be it copics or watercoloring and trying to add shading.  It is such a versatile set.  Here are several of the holiday cards I made with this set.

Really you can use any colors and any paper with these, it looks equally as good with traditionally colors as it does with non-traditional..  In most of the cards I coupled it with the sentiments that came in the set or some Winnie & Walter stamps and dies.  The one with Joy stamped inside is a Sweet Stamp Shop letter set, and I used my American Craft chalk pens to color them in.  The stamped string/cord in the set is nice or you can mix it up with actual cord/twine.  I also like the effect of the brads used as hangars (upper right corner), I think this one is my fave as well.

SSC117- Well Wishes

Happy New Year!  It is hard to believe it is 2016 isn't it?!  Any resolutions for the year?

The first Sunday of the year and Sunday Stamps is back for some 2016 fun!  Love this picture and the soft colors... and really want to eat one of those marshmallows!

Here is my take on this week's challenge-

A couple of my teamies have been using the MFT Pure Innocence and I was reminded I had a few of them myself.  I just love this cutie girl and often think of my own daughter.  So, I thought it would be fun to bust some out for this particular challenge.  I typically color the hair brown or blonde (again, thinking of my kiddo) but it was fun to change it up this time and make her hair black.  I love the little bear, this is just a sweet get well card.  I couldn't quell the urge to put on a few sequins, CAS isn't my typical style... AND I couldn't share three CAS cards in a row! lol.

Please head on over to Sunday Stamps and leave the ladies some love for their fabulous card and then come play with us!

Merry

Another holiday card that I sent to one of my loved ones.  Another CAS as well which means another miracle for me!

I enjoyed making this card using the Hero Arts Christmas Crystals.  I made quite an assortment of cards with this set in fact.  I had fun using watercolor and coloring!  This one is watercolor with a few non-traditional colors.  It reminds me of the glass ornaments my father has in the windows during the holidays.  The sentiment is cut from Winnie and Walter the Big, Bold and Merry cutaways.

So much sparkle I don't know what to do with myself! :)  Loving the Pretty Pink Posh sequins.

Guten tag

Translated, this means, "I wish you a happy day!"  That was just what I was thinking when my husband and I spent a few nights in Leavenworth, WA (a Barvarian wonderland).  Here is one image I took during our little trip.  It was fantastic!

Over the next few weeks, I thought I'd try to share all the holiday cards that I made and haven't yet displayed. So, here is the first of many.

I made this card specifically for my brother.  He likes Narwhals and has a t-shirt with one on it.  You have to admit, the unicorns of the sea are pretty cool! :)  I used the stamp and sentiment from Lawn Fawn's Critter's in the Arctic.  I stamped the sentiment in Delicata Gold from Tsukineko, the water droplets are in Taken with Teal from SU!  I colored the Narwhal with my copics and mounted it atop this pre-cut die.  This is one of the few times I was able to walk away with a CAS card, so proud of me! LOL.
