Japanese Garden

Hi there!  Just a quick post today showing this card I made.

I was in love with the Koi stamps and dies from Hero Arts form the moment I saw them, so I knew I had to have them.  I haven't gotten the stamps yet, but I will.

This is the first card I made using the die.  I wanted it to have a Japanese feel.  Enter this older DP from BasicGrey...perfect.  I colored the Koi with my Zig watercolor markers.  The sentiment is from Concord & 9th, such a lovely set.  The pearls from Simon Says Stamp was the last touch to add a bit of lightness to the creation.

When I asked my husband what I should say in my blog post he said I should ask you if you like my card.... so.... do you?

Are you buzzing with all this caffeine yet?  I can only imagine with all those fab card for the Coffee Lover's Hop!

I have a fun one for you.  I really enjoyed making this sweet card with these sweet colors.

I picked up these Greeting Farm stamps from Drive by Crafts.  They are cute!  I used a Lawn Fawn DP, a Doodlebug doily, Glossy Accents and some sprinkles from PTI.

Hope you keep hoping and have fun! Thanks for the visit!

Baby Croghan

Hello all!  Thanks for visiting me for this wonderful blog hop in celebration of Lesley Croghan, her husband and their soon to be baby girl!  A huge congratulations to them and all of their extended family for this wonderful blessing!

I am lucky enough to know Lesley because we are neighbors (sorta...).  OK, not exactly... she lives up in BC, Canada and I live in Seattle.  BUT close enough that I hope one day we get to meet and hang out in person!  I 'met' her by first becoming a fan of her amazing creations and second by joining a design team or two that she was responsible for starting.  She is so creative and so amazing!  Here is my creation for you.

This card features Avery Elle stamps and celebrate die.  I used distress ink to color the sentiment and Copics to color the balloons and elephant.  I used Lawn Fawn paper for the backdrop and front balloon.

Wishing you, Lesley and family, all the best for your sweet girl!  CONGRATS and HUGS!

Sketch Saturday- Purrrrfect Friend

Ready for some fun?  I am and have the perfect card for you.  Here is the sketch I worked with from Sketch Saturday

Here is my creation for this week.

I love this sweet samp set from Jane's Doodles.  The kids with their big toothy grins are so cute. The kitty comes from another retired JD stamp set.  I used my copics to color, placed it over a circle and then a Journal Card from Simple Stories.  I added some paper strips and enamel dots from MME.

When it made this it reminded me of a friend of mine...so I popped it in the mail.  I hope you like it! :)

I hope you like this creation and thank you for visiting!

Inspired

Sometimes you just need a friend to inspire you.  I have a good friend who does that for me in so many ways. I recently made and sent this card to her to let her know how I felt.

This card is just too cute for words.  Specifically the cute Avery Elle Elephant coupled with the bubble paper.  It just reminds me of sweet little dumbo.  Anywho, I colored with Copics, I used another Avery Elle die to created the decorative corners.  The sentiment is from a Mama Elephant stamp set.

So to my friend, you know who you are, thank you fro doing all you do.

When it's Dark- Sketch Saturday

Happy Saturday friends!  I'll start this day out by saying Happy Birthday to my sweet Mother (yesterday)!  She is an amazing woman and I can't imagine life with out her.  I am lucky enough to be spending the weekend with her as we speak. <3 nbsp="" p="">

Now while I have your attention, I want to share something else with you....

What a fun sketch!  I always love when there are interesting angles and flourishes.  This week's sponsor for SS is Sasayaki Glitter.

Here is my card for this week:

Don't you just love this sweet image?!  I was recently introduced to Love Cynthia stamps by Ms. Toni Maddox (Frankiehelpscraft).   They are based in France but the purchase is oh so worth the cuteness! For this I used the same Gina Marie background starry sky die and then a Hero Arts circle die to cut it out.  Then I used my Ranger inks to distress and make the edges darker and then backed it with yellow paper.  Of course, I colored with copics.  Originally, I wasn't sure about adding the ribbon, but in the end it turned out just right.

Head on over to Sketch Saturday to check out all the fun!

THD Challenge #10

Adventure is out there!  All you have to do is find it right?  Well this month's THD challenge will have you adventuring with your craft supplies, that is certain.  Get ready to be inspired!

Here is my take on this month's challenge:

For this creation I started with Neat &Tangled Origami Map stamped on  Strathmore Watercolor Paper.  I used my Zigs to color in the map with the colors from the inspiration photo.  Next I used a Lawn Fawn Journal Card die to cut out the shape I wanted.  The chevrons are also from the same die and I cut those out of black foam.  I stamped the sentiment from Hero Arts Hello Gorgeous set onto this soft green and used a circle punch to cut it out and mounted it with a foam square.  I hope you like it. :)

Are you ready?  Then put your lipstick on, buckle-up, whatever it is you need to do to create and join us for this fun challenge.  While you are over at the THD blog you can check out the other inspiration.

Thanks for your visit!
