Two Paper Divas- final post

Hi friends!  Today isn't my last post for Two Paper Divas.  I've had so much fun guest designing with them and I wish it wasn't over- sniffle.

Here is the last card I created with these fun stamps.  I used the Seed Packet Flowers #2 set.   This set is so versatile, all teh flowers can be used for so many things.  This card is fun with the sticker sentiment I added, making it a wedding card, or for a happy occasion.  But it could easily be a sympathy card or get well card if I changed the sentiment.

I used my SU! card base and some MME DP and enamel dots.  The ovals are cut from MFT dies.  I stamped the image and colored it with my Copics.  I love that the tulips are two toned and pull in some lighter pink and bright pink.  The sentiment is a sticker from Pink Paislee. This combination of colors just makes me "oh so happy!"

A big thank you to Gayla and Melissa for having me guest designer!

Fall Coffee Lovers Blog Hop

It is that time again, where all us coffee lovers and papercrafters come together for an AMAZING blog hop.  It is the Fall Coffee Lover's Blog Hop.  Organized by the one and only Amy Tsuruta!
_________________________________________________

Here is my creation for this hop.  It embodies my love for stamping, coffee and the Pacific Northwest (home of Starbucks).  Are you ready for it?  I am ready for a nice cup of coffee!

This card features some of the new Kelly Purkey/Hero Arts stamps made for the PNW.  LOVE THIS SET!  I stamped and masked off the sign and then sponged in the clouds with a stencil.  I then added my buildings, one is a Saavy Die and the other is just black paper with an impress stamp for the white dots on it.  I used my Lawn Fawn Stamps for the the cup, background stamps and Polaroid die.  It was fun to use the photo die as if it were the result of a trip to visit the Pike Place Market. :)  I stamped the cup on the grey and then used a little colored pencil and a neon orange pen that I own to make it look like a neon sign. I think the effect turned out good on both the cup and the public market sign, they truly do look neon to me.  I added the distressed edges and brushed black around to give it a grungy feel (another tribute to PNW and the Kurt Cobain era).  I ended with the Kelly Purkey sentiment and the Freckled Fawn enamel dots.

That's all folks.  I thank you for stopping and enjoy the rest of the creations and all the amazing prizes!

Tonya's Birthday- Come Hop!

My lovely friend Tonya is having a birthday today and her PNW stamping friends put this little hop together to wish her a Happy Birthday!

Tonya is such a fun and happy go lucky person!  She makes me laugh endlessly.  AND, she is my favorite SU! Demo as well, GRIN. So Tonya gets a birthday card that is filled with fun.

I made this card using a new Stamping Bella Woodsie Collection.  This piggy's name is Petunia, isn't she cute!?!  I enjoyed, stamping and coloring her with my Copics, and her little birdie friends too. I mounted her on a journal card from Pink Paislee.  I used Lawn Fawn cloud dies to make a little clouds to frame Ms. Petunia.  The base is SU! Calypso Coral with the embossing folder of textured arrows.  The ribbon is also SU!  I added the velum sentiment and the wood chip accents.

I hope you like this card Tonya and have a very Happy Birthday!

We'd love for you to check out everyone's birthday post:

2 Crafy Girls Challenge Guest Designer

The fab ladies over at 2 Crafy Girls asked me join them for the September challenge.  I was thrilled to join in on the fun.

Here is the challenge board they are working from this month.

To join the challenge, you simply pick one or more of the images/sketches or technques and play.

I decided to focus my card on the image, specifically the tree.  I stamped teh Lawn Fawn images from Critters in the Burbs set, including the fun tire swing, and colored them with my Copics and mounted white on white.  I used the sentiment from Crittters Ever After.  I used Pool Party paper as my base and used a Martha Stewart Punch and the ribbon as accents.

I just love how the snail is hanging out on the tire swing.  It makes me happy.

I hope you will join us for the challenge, head over to 2 Crafty Girls blog to check it out.

Purple Pansies

Loving all the fun stuff I've been getting to play with from their store.  In fact, this is one of my faves, The sweet old fashioned seed packet, the TPD Seed Co. (so clever of them!) and the 5 cents along the top.  And the best part, they have multiple seed packet flower sets that are made to go with this set.

My approach to this card was to highlight the old vintage feel.  To do so I used my Copics to color the seed packet as if it were made of aged paper and pulled in the green along the bottom for the sentiment.  I desperately wanted to pull in some bold purple to set it off and make it feel dignified.  Which made the pansies and easy pick from the Seed packet Flowers #2 set.   I used Blackberry Bliss and Wisteria Wonder from SU! to set it off.

That is all today, thank you so much for stopping by!  I hope you enjoyed this post.  Please head on over to Two Paper Divas and check out all their cool stamps!

Sunday Stamps- It's a sketch!

Happy Sunday!  Sunday Stamps is back with a fun sketch.

Now that is a little different and fun, I am loving the angles.  Here is my take.

You know that saying, "go big or go home."  That what I was channeling here.  This card is very LOUD.  Can you hear me now?!

The card features Pink Paislee DP and die cuts (including the tag). Totally fun to jump on the trendy pineapple band wagon.  As a base, I used SU! Strawberry Slush and Crisp Cantaloupe, I liked it with a little of both.  The sentiment is from Avery Elle and the enamel dots from Freckled Fawn.

That's all today, hope you will head on over to Sunday Stamps to check out the DT cards and join us for the challenge.

Fusion Peacock Dynasty

Happy Fusion Day!

The Fusion team has some pretty awesome tricks up their sleeves today.  Check out this inspiration:

Awesome?

I think so!  Honestly, what girl doesn't love peacock feathers?  They are so dreamy with their rich regal colors and soft feel.  They make you feel like royalty.

Here is my fun take on the challenge:

I used some SU! cardstock as my base and some DP from a Pink Paislee collection.  I stamped the Reverse Confetti feathers on white by using my Brilliant Blue and Taken with Teal, I used a little bit of the rock and roll method.  I added some gold in there around the tops of the feathers and heart, delicious.  I then fussy cut all three of them out.  When my hand finally recovered from all the cutting.... I mounted them up on this oval.  The oval is a die from MFT.  I stamped my Hero Arts sentiment using Delacata Gold from Tsukeniko.  Lastly I added the MME gold enamel accents.

Yum, yum!  Delactable colors and and awesome challenge.  So what do you way?  Wanna come join us at Fusion?  Sure hope so!

Thanks for stopping!

I dip, you dip, we dip...

...into caramel!

Caramel apples = fall.  Yum right?!  If you don't think so don't tell me, it will just break my heart! ;)

So how perfect is it that I am sharing this card with these delicious looking caramel apples from Two Paper Divas?!  I agree, it is 100% perfect!  This card was super fun to make.  I stamped and colored the images with my Copics alternating the green and red.  I then created he delicious looking caramel by coloring it and adding a layer of glossy accents.  That caramel looks good enough to eat!  Coupled with this fun patterned paper, a little tulle and this home made sentiment it is scrumptious.

I didn't have a sentiment in mind when I made this but I couldn't help but think of the song by Freaky Nasty.  You know the one... I dip, you dip, we dip.  :) ha!  Yeah, not the intention of the song but it works perfectly for these apples.  I thought this would be a great card to give out on Thanksgiving or perhaps to a teacher with the gift of caramel apples.... i need a napkin, my mouth is watering.

Hey, did you know Two Paper Divas has some newly released stamps?  Check it out over on their site.

Thanks for stopping!

Two Paper Divas- Guest Designer

Hello friends.  Happy Labor Day!

Today is an exciting day for me as I am a Guest Designer for Two Paper Diva's this month.  Eek, exciting! The ladies have been so nice and I've been loving playing with their stamps!  I have been using mostly their clear line, but they have digital too.

Here is the first creation I made using their wheelbarrow stamp. Such a fun stamp with sooooo much possibility.  It is perfect timing too because as fall starts to roll in my family finds ourselves spending a little more time at farms.  Mostly for pumpkins and Christmas trees, but not always.  This weekend in fact we went to a place called Fox Hollow Farms to see the piglets, so cute!  Anyway, here is what I made with this farmtastic stamp.

I love this combo of colors, so soft and springy really.  I colored the wheelbarrow with my Copics and cut it out and popped it up on this gorgeous paper (I think this is Crate Paper, but I can't remember! gah!).  This wheelbarrow is perfect for so many things, you can put whatever you like inside.  I decided to fill mine with flowers and it was perfect.  I love the effect this has.  I decided not to add a sentiment and added this wood banner from Freckled Fawn instead with the "Yay" saying, this way it can be used for pretty much any occasion.  I just love that wheelbarrow stamp and imagine using it for many things.

Now, to keep with the farm feel, here are a few pics from my trip to the farm yesterday.

Thanks for stopping today!  Please head on over to Two Paper Divas and check out all their goodies.

Back from break and back to school

As you probably know, Fusion took a summer break.  But school is back in session and so is Fusion.  Welcome back ya'll!

Here is this week's challenge:

Appropriate doncha think?!

Here is what I made for the occasion:

I had some great items to use for this card.  First is the SU! Real Red base topped with some paper from the Hall Pass DP collection from WeRMemory Keepers.  I found this awesome apple washi and that was a perfect accent along the bottom.  The main images are from Paper Smooches.  The blackboard is from the I Heart Art set, the pencil from the Smarty Pants Collection and the sentiment from Word Salad.  I colored the pencil with my Copics.  Finally I added this A+ brad that I have been holding onto for a loooong time, pretty sure is is WeRMemory Keepers too.

So... thanks for joining us again at Fusion.  I hope you had a nice break and enjoyed your summer.  And welcome back to school for all those kids and all those teachers out there!

Please head on over to Fusion and check out all the amazing inspiration.  We would be thrilled if you play along with us too!

Happy Thursday!
