Meet Everest!

This evening my family and I watched Abominable. My fave, fave movie for several reasons.  In no particular order (except maybe the first) #1- I love Bigfoot and Yeti. #2 I love how cute and well animated it is. #3- Such a great story filled with healing as well as good message about the protecting nature and all it's magic.  #4- It represents a different culture and religion from the usual.
I highly recommend this move.  I cry when I watch it (good tears) so be forewarned.

While watching, I was editing some photos of holiday/Christmas cards that I haven't shared yet.  So it seems appropriate that I would want to share this card.  The Yeti in the movie is named Everest, so that is what I shall name my Yeti. LOL.

The moment I saw this release from Stamping Bella, I knew I had to have it.  I couldn't fork out for them all, but I got a few.

To make this:

  • Stamped image on Copic Friendly paper.  Colored and cut out.  This was one large image, but I cut them into separate pieces.
  • Next, I die cut the DP using my Wonky Stitches die and mounted it on my white cardstock.
  • I stamped my image on the DP again, so I had the cookie crumbs.
  • I mounted my colored images on top.
  • I used the sentiment set on purple paper and cut the strip and mounted on my paper.
  • Lastly, I added these heart embellishments.

This stamp combo with the Doodlebugs paper melts my heart, I just love the pastels with this cute Yeti!  His Cheeks!  EEEK!

I hope you love this card as much as I do!

Rudolph

Merry Christmas!  Just stopping by to share a cute, small, funny notecard today.

Isn't it cute!  It is about 2X3.  I took the Whimsy Stamp and made it into a shaped card!  I just couldn't resist.

I stamped and colored the image with my Copics on Copic-friendly paper.  Once I was done, I cut out the front.  it would have been easier if I would have had a die,but I didn't.  So I just cut it out and traced and cut out a second.  I used a bit of paper in between to create a flap.  The sentiment is stamped on red and slightly curved.  I used the ______ stamp set.  Then I hand cut it to fit into the base of my scuba deer snow globe.  My final touch was the glossy accents on his mask, which is hard to see.

Hope you like it and thanks for visiting!  Enjoy the holidays!

Twas the Night Before Christmas...

It is in fact, the night before Christmas... Happy Christmas Eve to all of you out there.  Hope you are having a good holiday so far and getting ready to wait for Jolly Saint Nick!  To get in the spirit, how about a line from that famous poem, Twas the Night before Christmas.

...not a creature was stirring, not even a mouse.  Oh wait, the mice are stirring.  They are having their own Christmas Eve pre-funk, decorating the tree, eating candy canes, hanging stockings and putting out cookies (while nibbling on a few).

This cute card features images from Clearly Besotted, stamped, colored and cut out.  The paper is from Sunny Studio and the die is from Hello Bluebird.

I just think this is the cutest scene and combo of colors and I hope you like it too!
