Swimming in the Ocean

Narwhal, Narwhal swimming in the ocean, causing a commotion!  Such a funny little song, I love it.  Here is my card for that silly Narwhal.  And it is an interactive card, lookie see:

I started with some Brushos.  Then, I cut the slider circle out using an MFT die.  Next, I stamped and colored this darling Narwhal from Poppystamps.  I used the Mama Elephant stitched wave dies and used my distress oxide inks to color the waves.

Did you know that that Narwhal tusk is actually a tooth?  Typically the tusks are found on males and about 1 in 500 have TWO tusks!  Cool right?!  Yeah, my brilliant little 9 year old told me that. :)

Thanks for the visit and I hope you enjoyed this card and post.

Sweet Gigi

This last weekend, my family and I were able to go meet the sweetest puppy!  Her name was Gigi and we tried to take her home...literally she was only 3 pounds and I tried to slip her in my pocket but my friend wasn't having it...sigh  Here is her sweet photo, don't you just love her!

What I can guarantee to you is that she was even cuter in person!  Seriously, I know it sounds impossible but it is true.

I was on vacation the week prior and knew my friends were picking her up.  While I was gone I took some stamped images and watercolor pens with me so I could work on this sweet card.

Squee!  Isn't she also super cute!  I so enjoyed using these SugarPea images and coloring them with my Zigs.  A few fire hydrants in the background and some pink paper (my friends fave color) and some hearts and wallah!  I love both the real puppy and this cute likeness of her.

Three words say it all...

I know, you thought I was going for I love you!  Close, but not quite.  Today I want to share a card that has a similar message using some of the amazing new Crafter's Companion Products.

I stamped the main images from the SN Aqua sets My Sunshine and Best Wishes sets on the CC watercolor paper.  i used my glitter pens to add the layers of color. I made duplicates of a few items and popped them out for more dimension.  The butterfly flight path was hand drawn.  The pearls are the perfect accents.

Now if you haven't checked out these Spectrum Noir Aqua stamp sets you are going to want to because they are huge sets filled with all kinds of goodies!

Thanks for visiting today, I hope you enjoyed this post!

Just for you...

Let me just hope on your behalf that you didn't miss the Crafter's Companion August HSN fun because there were so many amazing products.

Let me share just one with you...or 4....

The is the Create a Card Sparkly Spruce die.  I cut the tree and the border out of the new pink Luxury Card Stock.  I used sparkly for the three an the matte for the exterior.  So darn fabulous.  I used the shimmer cardstock (only product not from the show)  for the backdrop and added a little DP too.  The velum sentiment is also from the HSN show and comes pre-printed (AWESOME)!  Once I put this bad boy together I added some bling to sauce it up a bit.  What do you think?  Here is a close up:

Now here is a tip with these intricate dies, it helps to use the Stick It adhesive by Ken Oliver and then it is so easy to stick all those bitty details.  As luck would have it you can also buy this in the CC store! :)

Thanks for the visit!

Sketch Saturday-

Hi Friends- welcome to another fun Sketch Saturday!  This week we are sponsored by Crafty Sentiment Designs.
What a great sketch by Kel!  Hope you don't mind me, but I took a few creative liberties with this one.

My card features MFT dies and stamps.  I used my Zigs to watercolor the flower before cutting it out.  It is just so simple and so lovely.

THD Mid

Welcome back to THD's Mid-challenge inspiration post!  We've got more summer fun for you today!  A reminder of the mood board we are working with this month.

Here is my card for the mid-challenge post:

I made this card for my niece who is just turning 9.  What is more fun to a 9 year old that a pinata full of candy and those hot summer colors?  Not much for sure.

I started with the Lawn Fawn Pinata.  Inked up and stamped inside the negative cut out of the Waffle Flower Inverted Circle Die.  I then colored it with my Copics to match the mood colors.  In the backdrop I used Gina Marie Scalloped Stitched Rectangles with some fun DP.  I used a little printed velum and some ribbon on top of that.  My fave part is the fun sentiment for this set, so cute!

Tag it!

Back again with more Crafter's Companion Sneak Peaks!  You are gonna want to be around for the HSN show in just a few days.  Go here to find out more about it.

Meanwhile check out this amazing tag mad using their bauble die and some shimmery paper.

Um Wow right?  I just love the shinny finish and the clean cuts of this die.  I used some DP in the middle and finished it with some sequins and matching silver twine.  OK, I am ready for Christmas now, lol!

Thanks for the visit!

Tick Tock

The clock is ticking to the August HSN Show featuring tons of new and amazing products.  Most of them are fresh and ready for the holidays, BUT there are some non-holiday items too.  For example:

These new embossing powders and Spectrum Noir Aqua sets are going to ROCK your world.  There are 4 diff stamp sets and they are going to be on special!!! So be sure to join the fun and watch on HSN to get it all.  Yuu can find info here.

Here is a close up of what I did.  I used the new embossing powder to stamp this background heart image.  Once dry I went over it with my CC sparkle pens and let it dry.  Meanwhile, I stamped the sentiment (both stamps from the Aqua sets- for image from the Love set, sentiment from the My Sunshine set) in black and used my Scan and Cut to cut it out perfectly.  I popped it out above the heart and add some flittling little butterflies and pears.  All mounted on a black background to make it  pop!

Now head on over to CC to check out the fun!

Sketch Saturday 475

H!  What does the weekend have in store for everyone?  Not much here, but a little crafting with friends today!

Sketch Saturday is here with another fun sketch by Alex, lookie see!

Here is what I made for this week's challenge:

I made this card using one of the Sponsors cute digis!  I colored this sweet guy using copics.  I just happen to have this chipboard sentiment and dots that go perfectly with it.  The die cut is one of the edgables from Crafter's Companion.  I added my own faux stitching.

THD #15- Paradise!

THD is back again with another amazing challenge!  And the competition for these challenges is awesome, you all are creating some super cool creations!  Keep it up!  We hope you are inspired by this fun mood board:

I don't know about you, but this picture is def my idea of paradise with that delicious looking cake! ;)

Here is my creation for this month.

I used the SugarPea Designs Tropic Like it's Hot set (such a funny name) with an assortment of ink colors to create this beauty of a background.  I complimented it with several layers of cardstock.  The sentiment is embossed in gold in hopes of catching your eye!

Please head on over to the THD blog and check out all the other amazing creations!
