Love Cynthia

OK, I have a new fave stamp company!  Well one among many to be honest...but the cuteness kills me!  Say hello to Love Cynthia's cute Life is Better in a Bikini.

Squee!  isn't she the sweetest thing?!  I love, love, love this sweet girl afloat on the lake and soaking up some rays. I colored her with my Copics and cut her out using my Scan n Cut.  The sun is from The Cat's Pajama's set and perfect for this scene.  The waves are done using an MFT stencil and two different Ranger Distress ink colors.  The plain papers behind, Saffron and Pool Party, are perfect to bring to this lake party.

I hope you enjoyed this and thank you for visiting!

Spring

Happy Saturday friends!  Just popping by today to share this lovely bloom.  I don't know about you but I am ready for spring and this pretty peony from Essentials by Ellen (designer Julie Ebersole), really puts me in the mood.

For this card I used my Zigs and watercolor paper to color the boom and leaves.  Once done I fussy cut it out. You might have thought that would be totally eliminated from my life after getting the Scan n Cut, but nope, I still like to do it now and then.  I used The sentiment from Avery Elle.  The backdrop is a piece of Vellum that I ran through with a We R Memory Keepers embossing folder.  It looks so nice with the white background, the color jumps off the page.  Then of course some enamel dots.

Wish upon a star

Happy Sketch Saturday to you!  We have a really fun and challenging sketch for you this week!  Are you ready?

The sponsor for this Week is Crafty Sentiment Designs.

Here is my take on the sketch.  Pay no notice to the fact that my slant is misaligned...lol.

Do you remember wishing upon a star?  I remember wishing soooooo hard, I would squeeze my eyes shut.  Well that is what sweet little Harriet here is doing.  She was super fun to color.  I cut out the flowers and butterflies, which would be perfect for another card.  But this card is made for a little girl who's birthday is coming up and she looks a little bit like Harriet here. :)  I used my copics, SU! paper and some sentiment from The Cat's Pajamas.

OK, that's all.  Please head on over to the Sketch Saturday blog and check out what everyone cooked up.

As a reminder here is the challenge photo.

Here is my second take on the challenge:

Thanks for your visit today.

So Sweet

Love comes in many shapes and sizes.  One of my fave shapes is Yeti shaped....

Are you still doubting they exist and that they are the embodiment of love?  I think not.

This sweet guy from MFT is so cute colored so many ways.  I used some of my Lawn Fawn Christmas paper for the backdrop.  One of my fave bits is the embossed circle behind this guy, it looks like there is a snow storm behind, and yet, love endures.

Now who should I give this sweet guy to?

3 years young

Did you know Winnie and Walter turned 3?!  OMG time flies doesn't it.

I was over there the other day and they have a whole slew of challenges going on right now for their birthday bash.  So why not play along?

It was really hard to figure out which one to join, but in the end I picked this Mood Board one... at least to start...  Here is the inspiration photo:

Here is my take on the challenge:

I picked up on some of the textures, colors and the flowers.  I love Gerber daisies and his was my first foray into no line stamping and watercoloring.  Not to shabby.  I love the way this bloom looks.  The sequins and LYB sentiment are the perfect touch.  I hope the W&W folks like it too.

Thanks for the visit!

2016 Misses- 3

Back again with more!  Might have you wondering why I didn't publish all of these.  I guess I get tired after work and don't always have the energy.  So, I had a little spurt of it the other day and put all these misses together.

Isn't this a fun pack of cards?  I made this set for my Mom so she could gift them as she needed.  They all feature Mama Elephant Stamps, Copics, various SU! paper and Dear Lizzy DP.

Thanks for stopping by.

2016 Misses- 2

More cards from 2016 to share:

This first one was made with my hubby in mind. I used a TAWS stamp and colored it with my Copics.  The sentiment comes from a journal card and the enamel dots are MME.

Check out this sweet pup.  These stamps are from Simon Says Stamps and Colored with Copics.  I used some American Crafts DP and this fun heart shape.  This was for a friend who loves puppies and recently bought a new home.

Such a fun combo of colors and stamps.  This has Paper Smooches and MFT Pure Innocence.  You might notice a trend here with the coloring, I do love it.  Some fun washi and sequins to finish it off.

2016 Misses

Here are a few from 2016 that I never shared.  Not sure why, just ran out of time I guess.  But I do think they are fun so wanted to share them here.

This one went to my brother for his birthday.  This combo of stamps and dies is just too fun.  These guys definitely look like a little gang don't they?  My fave is the end gnome with the wide eyes!  The gnomes are Stampotique, the text is Paper Smooches, the speech bubbles Lawn Fawn and the die is Memory Box.

This one went to a friend who did cool things and inspired me to do the same.  The stamp is from Hero Arts.  I colored the letters in ombre with my Copics and cut them out. I used some Casual Friday dies and On trend paper.

Thanks for taking a visit today and sharing in these 2016 cards with me!

Ukulele Ellie

Happy Saturday!  Let's get crafting!

Sketch Saturday is being sponsored by Paper Nest Dolls this week.

Here is my take on this week's sketch using Ukulele Ellie

Isn't she cute!  I had fun playing with the yellows and the greens on this one.  I made the dress ombre by darkening my shades of green as I went down.  She looks pretty cute with that sequin flower in here hair.  I used my Doodlebug Inc. Pineapple paper.  The sentiment is from Avery Elle.

Head on over to the blog to join us for this week's challenge!

To my Beastie

Two words, pink yetis.  SQUEE!!!  I couldn't resist making this sweet card.  I mean, all you have to do is look at those yetis and you fall in love.  And that is exactly what they are doing here, falling in love.

I colored these sweet critters from MFT Beast Friends using my Zigs.  I love them with the scalloped rectangle and over the Neon Paper from American Crafts.  This sentiment, "To my Beastie" is the perfect one to use so I can give this to my hubby for Valentine's Day.

The Heart Desires- Challenge 9

Here we go again!  It is challenge time at The Heart Desires and this month's inspiration is super fun, I mean just check out these images:

So many options, think quilting, sewing, colors, elephants, bunnies.... so many choices!

Here is my creation for this month's challenge:

Obviously, I zoned in on the colors and that sweet bunny.  I employed Altenew Bunny Love set.  After adding my shading with my Copics I paper pieced in the overalls and berry.  I used Lawn Fawn Perfectly Plaid for the overalls.  The sentiment is from Mama Elephant, the tag die from CAS-ual Fridays and the Enamel dots from MME.

OK, you know the drill, head on over to the THD blog, check out the amazing inspiration and join us for the challenge.
