Everyday Hero- Thank you!

Hi Friends!  I want to share a very special card with you today, but first I want to warn you that the topic here is going to be a little serious and outside my normal jokey attitude.

I know I've shared a card or two that I made for a friend of mine who was in an accident recently.  I've made a slew of them for folks to sign and give to him, not all  have been shown here.  As you can guess, it was a very horrific accident and I won't go into all the details, if you want to know more you can go here. Bottom line, he could have died but he DIDN'T.  Not only did he save himself by exiting from a burning car, but a stranger also helping him by tackling him to the ground while burning to help put the flames out.

This card is one that I made for that man, that everyday hero.  I am so thankful for him and what he did.  The person's life he saved is one of the bravest, kindest and funniest people I know and he did us all a service by helping him.  No words can say how thankful I am for either of these men.  This card doesn't do it justice either, but I can only hope that it gives him a sliver of how grateful that I, my colleagues and friends and all who know the man who was hurt are for his heroic effort.  THANK YOU!!!!!!!!!!!

On a positive note, my friend is recovering well.  He has a loooong road ahead as he had 3rd degree burns on 15% of his body.  There will be lots of pain and many surgeries, but as always he is lighthearted and brave.  I get to visit him next week!  YAY!  If you have a moment and want to send my friend your prayers or good vibes, whatever your take is on that, I would be grateful.

Sending recovery wishes and prayers to your friend as I write. With people like you - supportive, upbeat and positive - surrounding him, his road to healing will be filled with encouragement for sure! Your cards for him are so thoughtful, and this one, for the "every day hero" is absolutely heart-warming (feeling my eyes tear up!). He will be deeply touched by this wonderful card, as am I. You are a remarkable person, Katie, always touching people's lives in a positive way! Thank you for sharing this with us!
