Papertrey Inspiration

Happy Saturday!  I  wasexcited as this is my first time particpating in the Papertrey Blog Hop Challenge. Look at this inspiration photo, how could I not play. :)  I don't have any PTI yet... and I stress YET because I have an order going in today! So...I removed my link from the page, because I didn't even think about that.  Duh!  I am feeling like a jerk! :(

What I did use was my Balzer Designs map stencil and traced every teeny tiny state on pink ombre DP from Crate Paper.  I traced the compass in the lower corner.  The sentiment is from Simon Says Stampand I fussy cut that out too and popped it up with dimensionals.  The finishing touches are the wood chip geotag with the heart inside focusing on the word "you," as well as the washi and the sequins.

Since I can't enter this into Papertrey, how about I enter into Dynamic Duos where the combo is Pink and Black?! :)  And another entry to Ribbon Carousel since I again used Washi.

This card has a pretty fun feel and would be great to send to someone across the country for valentines day. I may do just that. :)

With its unexpected twist, I think you should send this out for Valentine's Day. Great fun! (And may I make a suggestion since this is your first PTI blog hop. You might want to mention what PTI product you used, especially since you listed a number of other manufacturers. It's just a nice thing to do.)

Hi Katie - I tried to click on your link on Nicole's blog and it kept opening up a new tab for me. I hope your link is working right and it's just me, but wanted to leave a comment for you to check it anyway! You made such a cute card and I wanted other to be able to comment! Love the Geo tag! Had to google you to find your Facebook page to comment here!

Katie, your card is pure delight wit your hand-traced ombre pink map, the wonderful heart/sentiment, the compass points and the washi! Send it for Valentine's: yes, yes and yes!! I applaud your enthusiasm in joining the PTI hop as you await your order's arrival. You're showcasing your creativity inspired by the photo, and using what you have on hand to delightful effect. No need to feel badly; celebrate, instead, what you've made: a card that makes people smile! When the PTI order arrives (no PTI in my collection, either...), you'll work magic with it, as you always do!! Hugs~c

Oh, Katie, you are the farthest thing from a jerk! I think the first two hops I entered I used no product and then several just used PTI white paper ... it happens!

I'm delighted that DD had a challenge that worked big time! I'll be surprised if you aren't a winner with this clever and magnificent card. Such genius execution!! Enjoy the day! Hugs, Darnell
